Super swivel

I do ,but they bind up on me over time. Bought the mosmatic swivel about a year ago before I saw the super swivels. No problems since then. Now it’s gonna break tomorrow after saying this. Lol

@Grizz the question now is"does the repair kit require grease on assembly"? Like how does it last with no grease? Im thinking when someone greases them, something moves out of position, maybe a slow unforced greasing is needed.

What type of grease are you putting in the swivel would be my first question. Not all grease is made the same

Marine grease.

I use cerulean from valvoline on mine may be worth a try.

You never service an automatic transmission after 75k miles if it hasn’t been serviced before, don’t descale your coil unless you do it once a year, don’t drain your water heater unless you do it every year, don’t grease Super Swivels. All for the same reason.

Ok I just dont understand why you would not grease them. I can understand not greasing them like you tractor till you see grease on the other side kinda thing but never. I just put a little grease at the start of the season and let it go. I have never had a problem

Well i greased mine like it was a tractor but i will not grease it again until it will barley swivel. All i know is it didnt leak a drop till i greased it.

I know that if you grease them they crap out. Don’t grease them and they last for years and years.

I have a regular swivel pressed on the end of my hose from when I purchased from United. It swiveled a little bit but my hose would still twist up at times. I purchased a Mosmatic swivel and it blows the regular swivel out of the water. I wish I would’ve purchased one a long time ago. I haven’t had to untwist the pressure hose since. It seems to naturally swivel and keep the hose straight.

Same here, mosmatic works well.

Probably along the same lines as trailer axles. Worked at a camper dealer for years, when customer would ask how many pumps of grease do I put in, our automatic response was zero. They would just put whatever th
ey had in, mixing greases and over greasing which just pushes the seals out. Gets the correct amount when we packed and resealed them once a year.

Same sorta kinda thing when you overfill an engine with oil. It pushes out the seal and eventually wears it just enough that it leaks out of the crankshaft seal.

Be careful with grease guns. They put out more pressure than you think and will definitely blow the seals of those small swivels

I just gave it a 1/4 to 1/2 a pump of grease, been fine so far. Trial and error its been about a month
