As of June 2021 at Pressure Tek, the Super Swivel goes for $56.66 and the Mosmatic DGV swivel goes for $42.20. Both are reputable brands. The Mosmatic seems a little more popular, but has lower PSI and temperature ratings. For most, the max ratings of the Mosmatic are probably plenty.
For some, the Super Swivel is known to start leaking if greased.

Maybe a 1/2 or 1/4 pump of grease is okay once in a while.

There are other swivels, but as far as I have seen, these are the 2 most reputable ones. Has anyone been very happy with another swivel for high pressure work?

What does the PWR community think about these swivels and how they compare? How much consensus is there that the Super Swivel should not be greased, or should be greased very lightly, to avoid damaging seals and causing it to leak? If greased lightly, would it last longer than the Mosmatic which does not have a Zerk for adding grease? Would the Mosmatic work and last at 4500 PSI, even though it is only rated up to 4000 PSI? Since it is 3/8", that’s ≈ 813lbs extra.

Your kinda overthinking this. Buy both, see which one you like better.

We do commercial truck washing for a living in sandy gravel parking lots and use mosmatic swivels only , ordered from dultmeier.com and pressure tek , tried the super swivels and they don’t hold up for us. Imo the mosmatic hold up better for our use. Other ppl like @Innocentbystander go super swivels all day.

Truth in those words. Overthinking is kind of a hobby for me. I enjoy researching, comparing, and finding out what is optimal for various scenarios. Also, I’m a real small pressure wash operation right now and am looking to gather lots of info to avoid buying more than one item when I don’t have a use for multiple. You’re appreciated.

I’ve used mosmatic’s for years. Never had a reason to look for anything else. Quality stuff :ok_hand:
