thanks bro

thanks, I’d probably look at building a system similar to marinegrunt. Just something simple and portable at this stage.

@wap2dem yes, that system that @marinegrunt has is all you need. Nice, does the job and easy to diagnose/repair. I’ve seen rigs worth more than my truck and scratch my head sometimes.

also what kind of tank is that?

They call it a carboy @wap2dem

Don’t confuse my little setup above with a real 12v system. You really want to get a 5.5 gpm or 7 gpm pump, 200’ of hose, 65 gallon tank, hose reel, etc. I just built that little thing above for applying sodium percarbonate and oxalic acid on decks because a pump up sprayer takes way too long on large decks. No way could it ever replace my main 12 volt system. An actual 12 volt with a 5.5 gpm or 7 gpm pump will get you a lot more distance and flow which looks like you’ll need for the house above. A little one like mine above might get you by on some houses but it’s not ideal.

Understood, I don’t have the budget atm to get a big 12v setup. I want something portable, maybe a 100l (25gallon) tank, 50ft of hose. I could still get a decent pump so I can shoot far enough.

Check this vid out, something like this would be ideal for me, as I don’t have a trailer or the budget to make a big rig. Softwashing/PW is only a segment of my business, I also do window cleaning and builders cleaning.

You can make something like that and leave it on your truck or trailer. All you need it more hose which isn’t very expensive.

This is an 18lpm (5gpm) pump, I assume something like this would be good for softwashing?

I have had alot of trouble with the snap in connections you want a thread in connection

I think the barbs thread in on that pump? I could be wrong though

lol sorry, just read the specs, it is snap in. Whats wrong with snap in connection?

@wap2dem I believe the barbs are threaded in, floJets are serviceable pumps. Double check with the retailer. I use the barb type just for serviceability, my guys will cross thread a Coca Cola bottle cap.

Sorry, there snap in.

Have you had experience with flowjet pumps? what is the issue with the snap in connectors? Im in Australia so we don’t have access to the massive range of products like you guys do.

@wap2dem I don’t use them personally but know of people that do and love them, there good pumps with viton seals witch is a plus when dealing with chemicals. I’m not sure what the deal is with the snap in fittings specifically I treat my pumps as consumables so don’t really look into pros and cons I just buy what’s in stock and suits my flow rate, I flush them heavily after each use, some last for a year some last for 3 months. I’m across the ditch in Auckland :+1:

Flo jet makes a great pump it’s just the snap in connections I have had trouble with them leaking. I got replacement set they leaked also. You cant go wrong with a flow jet but they sure are expensive

Cheers for the info man! It’s good to meet another Kiwi! I’m from Hawkes Bay, moved over here this April. Somehow ended up starting a business lol.

When you apply the SH, would it hurt to give it a scrub with a stiff bristled brush to help break up the mold?
