So I tried using the search bar to no avail. Could be human error. I remember at one time it was down. If not I don’t mind doing my research. So to be quick I have $1000 budget. I’d like to build a 12v system. I just want to know what pump do you guys recommend? I just plan in mixing my solution in a tank myself so for now I don’t need any fancy gadgets. I’m thinking a 26 gallon tank or do I need a larger one? We have a lot of stucco homes and brick homes in my area and the 10:1 injector doesn’t cut it. Also I’d like to know what type of gun would I need? Any advice is appreciated. I just got a list of parts when I typed in softwash. If there’s a thread that you could send a link to I’d be more than happy to read. You guys are awesome and this sight has been great!
@Chris the search bar hasn’t been working for about a month or so.
@PWP5gpm here’s a link to bookmark until it’s fixed again. Search results for '' - Pressure Washing Resource
$1000 should be enough for a 12v system if you budget it right. You can always upgrade as time goes on. I suggest getting a bigger tank though. A 65 gallon tank would be ideal. You can get most of what you need from a pw supplier or even Amazon. I bought my battery and a 55 gallon drum used for cheap off of fb marketplace and Kijiji (Canadian Craigslist…lol).

Chem tank
-
5-7gpm 12v pump
-
At least 200ft of 1/2in hose depending on the size of houses you usually service.

A wand can be built at your local hardware store. I made mine at home depot and it was affordable and works great. Here’s what you need:
-
1/2in Barb to thread
-
1/2in threaded pvc ball valve
-
18in 1/2in threaded pvc pipe
-
1/2in pvc female to female
-
1/2in male to 1/4in female brass reducer
-
1/4in quick connect for your nozzle
Thanks man. Much appreciated!
No problem. It’s possible I may have forgotten something or opinions may vary. I’m sure someone will correct me or possibly give better advice lol
Bro I cleaned two hotels with a backpack sprayer when I started because I had no idea. I killed it in my opinion. Not that I’d do it again lol. Everyone has one but the truth is if it works and you and your customer are happy then it worked.
What kind of reach do you get with it?
I use the pumps from northern tool. 5 gpm/7 gpm buy two get a deep cell battery. I built this one for way less than 1000 bucks
Do you use a trickle charger? How long will a battery last? And the gauge at the top? That thing looks fancy.
25-30ft I’m guessing? I use a 5.5gpm 60psi with 200ft of 1/2in hose.
Yes plug it up every night. I have never had one go dead.
Your budget should be plenty. There are several vendors that offer kits with everything you need. May spend a little more, but was worth it in my opinion because it comes with literally everything you need. I bought a kit and mixing valves from Brian at Midwest. He can get you taken care of with everything you need if you choose that route and he is on here ( @LLSSJSSAS ). Honestly, it wasn’t much more than buying things seperately in my opinion and its all there. I think I have about that much in everything including the mixing valves minus the hose reel.
Cool thank you. I wouldn’t mind checking out what they have is there a website?
@PWP5gpm you should get 30-35’ with a properly set up 12 volt 5.5 or 7 gpm with 1/2" hose
Hey man quick question. What size tip do you have for your 12v? I’ve read you get some drop in gpms. I purchased a northern tool 5.5.Thanks in advance.
I use the quad rod 2540 and 2515 then just two shooters
Thank you sir. I’m sorry but one more question. The 25 is the gpm and the 40 is the degrees correct? Nevermind 25 is the degrees the other is the orifice. Duh
@PWP5gpm how did you have a question and also work out the answer in the same post without editing. Almost a waste of effort writing the first part lol.
If you make your edit quickly enough it doesn’t show as edited.
I stand corrected my apologies @PWP5gpm
