so, to be serious for a moment…I don’t think we’ve ever settled the insurance question…is that in place? It can take some time, and you do not want to do anything for money until you have it. That will get people on here in an ornery mood towards you

I sounfd like my dad taking probably, but I think it’s the generation. Everything owed or handed to them. No responsibility for their actions. Spoon fed. Upset when they don’t get their way or are easily offended. I feel like I need to be waving my cane and croaking something about young whippersnappers and back in my day.

Lmaooo both my parents were Marines and I’m adopted. I gradated at 16, I walked onto UCF to play football, I started doing tattoos at 16 to pay rent, I built my airbnb from the ground up. I’m far from spoon fed.
No i just call out people when their being condescending. Again, as you can see plenty people have given good advice without patronizing but your position on this sub affords you the ability to be rude and pass it off as “I’m just blunt” “I’m just being honest”

I’m with you, until I realize we as society/parents are to blame…everybody gets a trophy though, so that’s good 
so back to the question at hand…insurance?
True to an extent. We can only control our little bubble. My kids aren’t like that. I do have a best Dad trophy from 2008 that I probably didn’t earn though. If I owned an Airbnb I’d mortgage that sucker to buy equipment if I was trying to start a business though.

assuming it’s not mortgaged to the hilt…most of those AirBnBs were bought on leverage to generate the rental income…
He built his himself so there’s probably a lot of equity in it. He obviously has a contractors license so maybe he could bid out the license for other contractors to use. That was big money on NC for awhile.

The amount of mortgage fraud happening with those AirBNB houses is staggering. A friend of mine is a local realtor that sends me quite a bit of work. She told me a story about a guy who wanted to do the first time home buyer program and at the signing table they gave him paperwork to sign stating this home would be a personal residence for him and he looked up and told them he was buying it to rent as an AirBNB. Guy had no clue that that is mortgage fraud. Needless to say, he didn’t end up buying the house.
AirBNB ruining a lot of neighborhoods. Lot of the newer developments are making them unlawful in their bylaws.
