Soft wash roof costs?

Yeah that stuff works fine, but i think it’s only seasonal… i know in my area you cant find it anymore.

By the way, man that is an incredible logo. Was that something you did, or did someone else design it? One of the best ive seen.

My area in Virginia I purchase from Chemsolv for $3.25 per gallon up to 100 gal. then price drops slightly per gallon after that.

$3 per gallon for 12.5 in Virginia Beach and it takes me on average 6-8 gallons to do a two story house. I cut by 50% in my chem tank and then the injector I use is 20/80.

Where do you live? 20 gals of 12.5 and 40 gal of water will give you a nice low 3% mix which is what most asphalt shingles will need. Add about $8 of snotmenade, how do you figure your costs at $260. I figure my mix runs just under $1 per gallon ready to go. Snotmenade is .15/gal of mix, so even if you were paying $5/gal for SH you’d still be under $2/gal for your mix.

So even at my price for 1 story roofs of $.20/ft - each gal of mix should cover 50 sq ft, maybe more if shallow pitch, which we rarely have,- you do the math.

Good evening Racer. I am new to the business and have been doing tons and tons of reading. You put that 20 gal of 12.5 and 40 gal of water would make a low 3% mix but I’m coming up with something completely different (12.5x.33=4.125% mix). Please inform me if I’m doing something wrong or if it was just a miss key for you?

20 gals 12.5 into 60 gals of water is 3%??? Why is my math different than yours???

whats that equal out to @Racer my guess was about an ounce a gallon, maybe 2 quarts on a nasty pitched roof. Just trying to get a base line.

y, my usual mix 1 oz/gal unless 10/12 or steeper, may go 1.5oz/gal or if extermely dirty may go the stronger mix too.

Yea that’s outrageous! Pinch a penny sells me 30 gallons for less than $50, only use about 20 per roof.
65 gal tank
20sh/45h2o mix

Hello everyone

So I been looking at getting into soft washing and want to understand the cost of the SH and cleaner. How much is used on a average house. From what I have been reading it looks like around
70 gallons water
5-6 gallons of SH
1.5 gallons of cleaner

Can someone please let me know if this is on track or WAY off.

Thank you!

way off

Every home is different and requires different strengths and different amounts. I’ve used anywhere from 2 gallons of SH on a vinyl home to 10 gallons on a stucco home. Size and material matter.

As far as water, I don’t track that because some houses just require more rinsing then others.

And soap? Usually just 1 oz per 2 gallons of SH downstreamed.

Same here, anywhere from a couple gallons to 7 on a really dirty, multi angle two story. The 2.1 injector doesn’t draw near as fast with my 8gpm though.

You guys talking about actual SH or downstream mix. 2 different ways of looking at it.

Thank you for your information this helps a lot.

Also have you done any brick style homes? If so about how much do you end up using on that?

I haven’t touched too much brick but usually you want to cut your soap down or you will be rinsing forever. If it’s my understanding, usually you use alittle more SH for brick

Just did a single level brick house, the north side was slammed with growth. I did my usual house wash mix and let dwell for about 15 minutes. I still had to use 1200psi on it, took a while.

You have to up your strength when dealing with brick. House wash mix normally won’t touch it. Even upping your mix you still might need a little pressure but not near as much as not using any sh.
