I second what @Grizz is asking about the hose.

The hose is not as durable feeling as I would like, but the price was good. I’ve drug it through gravel, grass, and concrete numerous times and it would scratch off the outside layer a bit but no substantial damage, leaks, or issues. Overall I would buy one again. However I’ve never used a Kuri-tek to compare it to.

I love racers kuri tek hose and its in good condition considering how much he uses it and does roofs with it but william and some others have mentioned using garden hoses now. Jhst curious of other options im probably still going to get kuri tek but im also open to other options for cheaper.

Use this

And they use that hose way more than a PWing hose.

That’s what I’m running now on my 12v and xjet. It’s held up well but I’ve always read here that kuritec and flexwhatever is better.

Spend a little more and get ag hose or keritek. Poly braid hose is a pain when it gets cold outside.

@Crabby I took your advice and bought the pump you had talked about. My problem is I can barely get the thing to shoot high enough to clean a 1 story home. What type and size of nozzle are you using?

I don’t think Crabby is around anymore. I would use #30 nozzles in 0, 15,25, and 40 degree. Seems to work pretty good. It’s also nice having adapters so you can use garden hose guns too but it’s not necessary. I like using those for pre and post treating concrete.

Here’s the jrod already set up if interested. If you don’t already have the soft wash gun the sell you’ll have to either get it or use a ball valve, 18" 1/2 nipple, coupling, and a 1/2" to 1/4" busing to fit the quick connect. You can get all that from Pressure Tek too. Other vendors have them as well.

Thank you @marinegrunt I just ordered it. I was starting to think it was the wrong pump. Great idea for the adapters on concrete work!

is 60 psi enough to push through 240ft of hose while standing on 2nd floor roof? I experienced no pressure. but pressure when back next to the truck. I ended up having to DS my mix with some pressure, cause the Pump wouldnt work on the back side of a house I did today. Thank in advance for the insight.

I have a 12v Everflo. 5.5 gpm 60 psi

What size hose are you using?

1/2 flexzilla

Did you have any hose still on the reel? I have the same pump and same hose. The only time I have noticed an issue is if I still have hose on the reel. I love the Flexzilla hose but if I have 100 feet still on the reel I get a loss of pressure that’s noticeable. Looking into it further, the bottom few layers of the hose can sometimes get flattened, and once I unrolled all of the hose - boom I was good to go.

Just something to check. :grinning:

It’s been discussed that you can put a ball valve on the end of the hose and keep it pressurized preventing your issue.

Yes your are correct. They should call it Crushzilla. I am not a fan of it.

I had all the hose out and most up on the roof with me. ive put a ball valve on the end now. I will have to test it out see if it helps keep the pressure.

I usually have all the hose laid out so the crushed hose isn’t a problem yet. I love how the hose looks and feel. it reels up smooth. I do have a little issue with it kicking as I reel it up but with their not being any memory with the hose, it works out

12v pumps suffer more from friction loss than head loss, but when you have both, can dramatically effect the performance. 25 ft up with 240’ of hose you’ll be lucky to spray 15’. I don’t rec Flexilla for roofs versus Kuri-tec. The Kuri-tec seems to have a little less internal friction. Also, are you sure you have 1/2" instead of 5/8". 5/8" kills a 12v on distance.

Def 1/2 hose.

Messing on my roof, and same result. entire hose is laid out, off the reel. Im able to do half the front of my house. thats includes running it to let rinse water that was in line, go through.

I have no pressure coming out of my nozzle

this how high I am.

I’ve tried leaving ball valve, closed slightly. but i have no flow through my filter, before the pump

Thanks for the insight.
