So I ordered this yesterday and it came in the mail today

I might get gutter butter, I might not.

It has been brought to my attention that you have mentioned get better at doing less. Could you please help me understand your method and what makes your way successful.

I don’t make it, or sell it or get a commission off of it, so I DON"T CARE. Just a FREE recommendation.

If you had to have brain surgery tomorrow, who would you want doing it. A guy that’s done thousands or a guy who does one maybe once every 2 months and would you be willing to pay the specialist more? You can figure it out.

I meant I might not get it because I may not offer the service.

I see what you mean about the specialist. It makes you more valuable.

Maybe instead of gutter butter you should try a lawnmower, weed eater and blower

That would make me do things that I feel are low profit and boring. Also the return on equipment would take a long time. However a steady stream of income would be nice.

Why not just focus on what is already making me money before I branch out?

from your post I think you should try something that is little easier for you to figure out.

So what if it is hard to figure things out? Everyone starts somewhere and I am pretty successful doing this already. So why not continue.

Nevermind.

hey question,

so what do you tell the homeowners when they ask " what about the gutters " with the streaks etc… they dont come off cause of oxidation?

Tiger stripes are caused by tar from the shingles

yahp. " gutters come from the factory with a soft flexible paint so the paint doesn’t chip or peel when they are being cut and installed. Because the paint is soft and not durable it becomes easily oxidized due to the weather elements. The black streaks are actually spots where the paint has burned from sun exposure, in some cases you can take an acid that will strip away a layer of paint to restore the gutters but we do not off that service due to the damage it can cause, depending on how old the paint is, and how badly they are oxidized in has a potential to strip all the paint off and leave bare aluminium.

The word acid instantly turns the customer off… and then I recommend another alternative is having them painted

I only go through that spheel if they look or act super concerned about it not meeting their expectations.

So you are back again…

I understand the common notion that it is caused by shingles, dirt, and other things. … if that’s the case then why is stripping a layer of paint off necessary?

oxidation is not caused by tar

I personally stopped offering gutter “whitening” as its a pita and takes forever. I still bring it up to all customers to let them know that they will still be their after a house wash.

Any experience downstreaming Gutter Butter with brush agitation on vinyl siding oxidation?

I downstreamed F-13 on a metal building with oxidation and it worked great. No brushing.

Nope, can’t help with that one

Did you downstream it straight, or diluted? Any surfactant?

Straight, just dropped my pickup tube into a 5gal bucket of it. Nothing else.

I should add that I tested an inconspicuous area under a carport first.
