You mount a pretty red new western plow on that and it sure would be a nice rig. Way to rich for my blood but sure would be nice. Do you post and pre treat your trucks? I used salt assasin

Never have in the past. Just always hit the car wash after each snow. Used motor oil sprayed on the underside of the truck will stop most rust. And fluid film is about the best preventive measure you can take.

I’m putting my western wide out on whatever I buy and a 16 foot box plow on the back. My buddy has one and I watched him plow a huge parking lot in 1/4 the time it takes with any front blade.

Gotta check them out

See I like those cable driven plows. They never fail. I’m sure the other are just as reliable I’m just have always had good luck with them. I always laugh at guys who cant make money cause thier stupid electric solenoid dont work and the only had one spare

In 12 years of plowing I’ve blown 2 solenoids 5 hydraulic lines and had 3 remotes go bad. And 90% of failures I find in pre season testing. Western makes darn good plow.

That back blade is awesome, how do they keep snow from packing underneath the truck though? And does it work on deeper snow?

You let the snow pack up when pulling long runs and you lift it as you are still moving forward near where it should be stacked. It all falls out as you continue forward.

Yeah I see that. But you know as well as I, that every thing under that truck is hot from running all day and night and ice starts forming under the chassis. Just food for thought. Very cool idea and looks super fast !

Oh it does that with a front plow. All the slosh clings to the bottom. But usually after I’ve ran around in salt for a few hours it’s all gone.

Darn Chevy offered me a sweet deal on a 2020 3500 HD

Waiting to hear back from GM financial and it may be mine… 20749942361x640

Nice. You should qualify for Business Elite where you’ll get $1000 in upgrades. You have to spend all of the $1000 to get it so get everything you want and don’t be afraid to go over a little bit since that’s all you’ll be paying out of pocket.

That will look sweet with a big red plow in front of it !

Well I bought it! Also squeezed out a 150,000 bumper to bumper warranty. So anything at all breaks for the next 6 years costs me $100 deductible. Got the $1,000 up fitter discount. And got the 3500HD for the 2500HD price. Feels good to not have a repair bill on my main truck the next 6 years! After 9-10k in repairs on the big truck the past 10 months I need a break from repair bills. Truck will be delivered to my drive this week!:smiley::smiley:

Are you pulling a trailer or going to mount in the bed

In bed skid. I hate pulling a trailer!

Hope to have it mounted up in the next 2 weeks! Going to install the big salt spreader harness when it gets here. Never drilled a hole in a new truck before
