Simpson vs United for 150 feet of non-marking PW hose?

I’ve finally settled on getting 150 feet of pressure washing hose and got a price of $225 from Bob at United Hose for gray/non-marking.

Before I place the order, just curious if anyone has experience with hoses from United Hose AND also something like this Simpson hose. Would it be at all comparable for almost $100 less, or is it definitely worth the $225 to go with United?

If anyone knows of another vendor I should check out that might do better than $225 for same/similar hose, please share

United has gone up significantly. I don’t use them anymore thanks to a referral from Billy @florida_condo_cleani

I get my hoses now from local hydraulic shop. United became difficult to order from virtually overnight.

You’re going to want a lot more than 150’

One single 250ft hose . No QC . Nothing to catch a corner or leak . Also easier to reels up .

Oh. I thought you meant some fancy new dangled way to connect guns and such to hoses. Yeah… I like 225’ on the reel and I can’t remember why, but much less than that you’ll always get to a corner you can’t reach.

Is yours a single hose like @florida_condo_cleani, or do you connect a couple smaller lengths?

Yah sorry no magic fittings here .

I was thinking the same when i read it the first time

Hah. And I read it that it didn’t come with crappy brass quick connects pre-installed.

Single length. 2-3 hoses in line is a huuuuge PITA and getting them on the reel will make you want to hulk out and flip your trailer

Thanks for the info. Saved me over $100 on a single hose, was about to order from United.

Thanks for sharing this. Do their hoses come with the male QC on one end and the swivel female QC on the other?

Most hoses I have bought do not come with fittings - well maybe a swivel to a male threaded fitting.

This is true for air hoses, hydraulic and high pressure. You got to get what fittings you want.

It’s comes with 3/8 male thread ends . I believe you can get swivel ends if you want

Easy enough to add QCs, right?

I have 200ft of Simpson hose and I can say its very well made. Almost too stiff. When I was winding hose by hand it was a beast and I hated it. Now that I have reels I like it.
