Sherwin Williams Blue Bucket Sale Starts the 17th

If it fits in the 5 gal bucket, 35% off starting the 17th. I’m assuming it starts nation wide then. It’s a good time to buy spray tips or anything else they carry that you use. I like the 517’s for Super Deck on raw wood and 515’s on previously painted wood. FFLP or 211’s for spindles and other smaller parts. 619-21 for penetrating oil based like Wood Defender etc.
Blown out tips will cost you $ and increase your time because you’ll use more product and have to back brush more. Learned that the hard way.

Thank you for the tip, it will come in handy as I still need a few items.

Ha, my store manager calls me for this stuff. He likes that I’ll have bought 28 gals of Super Deck in the last 5 days…and I try to buy from his store unless it’s a ridiculous difference in price.

You are my hero , 28 gal in 5 days you must be hustling, or have 2 super large decks. Man I hope I get a piece of that action here. We just got our first 60 degree day today, but it is going to rain all day tomorrow starting at 0300. I couldn’t risk painting my trailer today.

Wait what? Tennis?

Yes. He’s currently playing a tournament in Mexico.

For real? Or are you turning this into a tongue in cheek thing?

For real. Talented man I tell ya.

Well, I wish him luck then. Not every schmo can compete athletically, you have to have gifts and a work ethic.

I use it on fences and garage doors too. This is on two fences.

Sorry dude, things have just been stupid the last week or so. Overtime at Work, Divorce paperwork (still having paperwork issues), getting VA appointments in, and bargaining with the bank over loan requirements … things have just been rough.

I’m afraid our buddy from down under is messing with you all. I haven’t played tennis since middle school PE. Lol

But thanks everyone appreciate the encouragement.

So you use the cleaner or the sealer or?
Thanks for the heads up

You owe me nothing. I was just playing. Sorry to hear your life issues, and apparently your inability to play tennis.

I use Super Deck solid but almost exclusively on vertical surfaces, fences, garage doors, shutters and pergola’s. I think I have done one deck in it, it turned out good though. Several years ago I used their stripper, it was actually pretty good, they changed the formula and it’s very weak now. I use SEK Surebond sealers for stone, pool coping etc.
My issue with WB is that if you really read the instructions, almost all of them will tell you to strip the surface prior to reapplication. It’s not really necessary but Joe the handyman does not prep properly so it comes off intermittently in sheets in some places and not in others. I can pretty much guess if that is going to happen now but back in the beginning, I had some ugly surprises. I sprayed over 3000 sq ft of fence today with SD.
