Sh from walmart

The supplier I use delivers to my house from 2 hours away. They supply the local water treatment plant also. So they deliver to me on the day they are in route to the plant. Find out who your local water treatment plant uses and go from there.

You can’t find an SH supplies in San Antonio?

Yea, pool supply is like $23 for case of 4 gal12-15%. Walmarts iffy for their -10%, and hone depots sux. Already been turned down by a bigger supplier.

If you dont mind me asking, what are you paying and for what amount plus delivery???

I pay $195 for 55 gallon drum so about 3.50 a gallon.

Ive used dollar General blech before. It was either 6 or 8%. Worked good. That was back when i bought SH in 5 gallon buckets.

There was a thread on here awhile back about a place called Napco Chemicals. They’re near Houston. Sounds like you can go there and they’ll fill you up or they also offer delivery. I’m sure they deliver further out than a 3 hour drive. I’m in IL but the place I order from will waive delivery fee if I order at least 2 drums at a time. I’m sure they just include it in the per gallon price though. You can usually negotiate a little bit. Some won’t deliver to residential so try and make friends with some small business like a local auto mechanic shop, landscaping nursery, small hardware store, or even a farm. Try and find a place with a forklift. You’d be surprised how places would be more than happy to help. Just offer up a free sidewalk cleaning or something.

@Redjess I feel you. I’m in Austin and asked around a lot of places, they didn’t even return my email or phone call. I have to stick to Home Depot.

There are quite a few chemical suppliers within an hour of Austin, TX. Do a Google search for “Sodium Hypochlorite Austin” and you’ll see there are quite a few options to choose from.

I’ll check it again but a couple of months ago, I contacted at least 4-6 chemical suppliers and a dozen pool stores with no response at all. So I went to HD…

Its texas… theres a dow chemical next to every bbq joint

I did quite a bit of IT work for Dow Agrichemical. When the merger went through my two sites were closed. One site had just been completely remodeled and 2x in size. It was a good gig.

Lame! My brother in law is a chemical engineer for dow in lake jackson. They paid him to go to school for it after they paid him to transfer there.

Yeah you would think so but all of these bbq joints are outside Austin then

There’s a Brenntag in Manor. I don’t know where in ATX you are but that shouldn’t be more than a half hour or so away.

I found that in two minutes on Google. Like I said, you literally have over a dozen different options all within an hour of you. Most won’t deliver to you unless you have a commerical storefront but nearly all of them will let you pick up as long as you schedule the pickup.

I admit that I didn’t find Brenntag so thank you so much for that recommendation which I will check out! But still, I did some research for it and didn’t receive any message or call back to my inquiries or received quotes way too high so it was OK to go to HD or one Pool Supply store.

No worries man glad I could help.
