Securing Surface Cleaner, Wands, etc

Hello. I purchased a 8GPM HW PW and having to re-do my entire trailer setup because of it (damn!). Anyways, I am taking the trailer to a fabricator and designing the 3d in Sketchup. It is a 14’ trailer. The dimensions are not to scale. I am still learning SketchUP but the principal is what I delivered to the fabricator. Any suggestions/changes you have before they start is much appreciated.

I need to find places to mount my DS Injector, K7 unloader, etc. I know the trailer is back heavy at the moment. Once it’s done at the shop I plan on finding someone with a trailer tongue weight so I can distribute the drums, gas cans, etc more towards the front.

I actually build something similar, here’s my thread if you want to read up on it

My build

When I was designing mine I used TinkerCad. A 3D mock-up software. Here’s the thread to that where I discuss placements, weight distribution, etc.

My Mock-up

I will say, I think the wand storage using tubes is great, I did the same but with that horizontal angle, it’s going to slide out. Put them up at a 30-45 degree angle at the least. Here’s mine.

It looks like you have the ladders hanging off the side, why do that when you have a ladder rack. Put it up top! You can stack it and make use much better that way. Free’s up that entire side too for mor equipment. See the ladder I have up top? I can fit 8 more if I wanted to without sacrificing my space for equipment below.

But again, take a look at both treads I attached. Great info in both of those which will help. I have a 6x12 and I still have room to add a backup 5.5 or 8 gpm and hose reel which I do plan to do in the near future

Thanks! I love your idea of using multiple PVC pipes vs. 1. I thought I’d just cram all of them in there but it would always get tangled. I was/am conflicted on where to store the ladders. I use a big ole 28’ and a gorilla. Both are heavy as heck. I figured hanging them on the side would be easier buttt if I do it on top I could just slide them up. I have no idea what else I’d use those rails for though atm. I’m looking through your links.

*EDIT read both posts and a few more. I think sliding it up on top would be easier so I am taking the ladder racks off the side. Now what to do with all this space. Most people on this forum say their trailer’s are too small but I believe mine is too big. I am a part time washer with hopes of eventually running a crew.

Just remember, you can build up too. You can stack machines and tanks. Hand stuff of the ceiling of the ladder rack and off the sides. Put stuff up top. Lots of options. Just make sure that your trailer height isn’t too tall. For instance I keep mine in my garage so I built my height in mind to keep it garage kept. Max I can do is 2 stacked ladders up top. Leaves me about 4 inches of clearance from the top of my garage door. Just see what works for you. If you like it on the side then keep it there. I just prefer mine up top.
