Roof price

That’s a big discount - you’re giving a $600 house wash away for free?

If you do window cleaning throw in free window cleaning. That’s about as far as I would go. I don’t like to offer discount’s because they aren’t necessary. If you do a good job (and have reviews to back it up) then they chose you for a reason. Knock 100$ off at the most. Trust me when I say this, if they want it done they will pay the full amount. What your asking price is, is likely what they pay in property tax every month.

I don’t use plant wash and have yet to have a problem. But I keep a sprinkler going the whole time. Did 2 roof jobs this week and have a few scheduled for next week. I love roof jobs. I would only do roofs if I could!

Its not exactly the whole house. Pretty much everything but the brick. Gutters, soffits, windows, etc.

Cant go back now. Already sent it. She hasn’t even replied. Her jaw must have fell off.

24oz per 5 gal. DS. I did that on limestone wall, glass enclosed dance hall for a venue but was not aware it could be sprayed on plants as possibly hinted above. Is that a thing?

Does it keep sh from spotting glass?

It did for me on the venue I washed. Though I used regular HW mix and down streamed vs roof mix and I’ve never ran into issues with spotting glass when house washing. And the only issue I had with the venue is the paint from the grid “bleeding” onto the glass. Seems like I spent three times as long rinsing and neutralizing and rinsing again and it still kept bleeding out some.

That’s a tough one, I could buy a good car for that.

I’m just curious though, what $$$ are you all trying to attain per hour? Would it actually take six hours for the roof at $200/hr? I’ve just been doing everything but roofs and getting about $150/hr, concrete around .25/sq ft.

Your TDS is probably really low. Here in Louisville it runs about 220 so I might as well throw dirt at them.:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I usually throw in a 10% multi-service discount just to urge them to choose more than one service. Not sure if it makes a difference though.

Ill still come out nicely ahead at that price. Its a good day and a half worth of work.

My bids have been getting turned down alot and im not getting much work… Literally like 4 in a row. Maybe because of all the cut rate guys around here. Only other guy i know of that does strictly pressure washing is micah with ecoclean and im not even sure if he pressure washes anymore. His trucks always parked in the front yard

How long have you been cleaning roofs for? It is bound to happen. Water alone isnt enough to stop the bleaching effect on plants. Are you cleaning roofs by yourself? I always preach that 2 guys minimum on a roof cleaning just in case something happens. Because you just can never be too cautious.

This is my second year doing roofs. I don’t get much overspray at all on plants either!

Just letting you know its going to happen.

Yea it’s a thing. I just learned about it myself after reading a Facebook post. Then I emailed the manufacturer/distributor and they confirmed. One plant they said to avoid was Japanese maple. Some are using foamers to pre treat, others ds or direct post.

How are things there after this weekend @Harold

We lucked out as far as I can tell. My house in on a ridge and has decent elevation so I had a bunch of people over for two days. You could call it a hurricane party. I had two roofs to do today but we still had some lingering rain. Back at it tomorrow.

It was crazy to keep watching the news and they would say it was coming within the next few hours. Not much came. We lucked out on this one. Thank God.

How was it over there?
