I was wondering -
What opinions on the connections - all stainless would be better I assume. Preferred type?
Any opinion on the Mosmatic flat surface cleaners as upgrade.
I was thinking of getting a wheelie bin as a reservoir - any opinion?
Should I buy a bunch of turbo heads for the lances or is there a better option?
I’d like to have a solid kit that will last me a long time and be extendable in different ways like roof cleaning and adding chemical washes - what decisions would it be smart to make now?
I know that’s a lot but I have to get my feet wet at some point! It’s a lot of money for me and I’d like to get it right
BE surface cleaner sucks. Don’t need a stainless reel. You’ll use the x jet once on every 100 jobs. Get a down stream injector. I can’t do the math this late to figure out what kind of specs are on your machine
What surface cleaner do you recommend? I suppose it is connected to the power of the engine.
I have a softwashing pump and backpack at about 3-5 liters per minute - in America I suppose that is 1 gallon per minute. What is the advantage of a downstream injector vs that?
I don’t quite understand the advantage of combining softwashing and powerwashing directly in the procedure used to clean up. The softwash mix needs some time to work to best effect and the chemical is expensive. I’ve seen people just dunking hypo into pressure washing reservoirs and it seemed like a waste. Am I missing something here?
Certainly it makes sense to combine the two techniques for best results but I would have thought it best for the procedure to be one and then the other in sequence - any opinion?
What would you recommend instead of a stainless reel - because before now I have been dealing with old random hoses and managing them was a pain in the butt.
Soft washing is just the current marketing gimmick by vendors. Get a downstream injector and you can wash anything except roofs. Throw the back pack sprayer away. Whisper wash 16 inch would be ideal for you. Just don’t buy anything your trigger gun won’t plug into
What William said, and if I may add you’ll probably want to cobble together a 12v 2gpm portable sprayer as well for the really stubborn stuff the UK seems to be full of. Every picture and movie I’ve ever seen of the country seems to be stuffed with mold, algae and moss.
how hot is your downstreamer shooting? you say you can get everything but roofs but i can’t touch masonry, brick, stucco, or stone unless it’s very light algae. need an x-jet for all that and concrete.
I don’t know how hot it is. Screw out the orifice on the injector and it’s hotter than it is with it in. I don’t clean stucco. Brick and masonry get a turbo nozzle or it doesn’t get cleaned. All my estimates day siding and painted surfaces only. To much easy work out there too be cleaning other stuff. @DisplacedTexan I had two cheerwine floats from Cookout this evening. My brain was frazzled after messing with this stupid golf cart
