I raised all my prices. 15% or better. That’s definitely helpful. But I’m legitimately only working 25 hours usually at most so still feels like voodoo.
@Grizz opposite. I’m passing on higher end, more complicated jobs. If I can do $400 a day for 20 days a month that’s $8k. That’s one house a day. I do two houses most days. Yesterday was my long day. 3 houses. $1100. I was still off by 3.
Moral of the story: Raise prices. Pick a niche in a narrow market. Own your small market. Don’t negotiate your prices.

Whats your “turned down for price to high” rate. I think my prices are to high im only landing around 60% of my calls. Most are surprised on the price. My low end jobs range form $160-300 and high end jobs $850-3000. I have always been trying to land the high end ones. Its alot easier for me to land the low end ones because there is alot more of those in my area.
I’m telling you if I could convince my girl to come work with me one day just one I don’t think I’d ever have to hear her mouth again… LOL she acts like taking the kids to the park and sitting at the house is hard work on days when I’ve been out on the go since like 4 in the morning and it’s still 8 at night and I’m still working I come home and I’m like I’m tired … And she says you’re tired I’ve been at home with the kids all day… she’ll never understand until she spends the entire day with me I’m going to make that happen yet this year LOL

Trust me we have that exact same argument once a week and she always wins some how. Mostly because i finally just agree with her so i can sleep

I make up for working hard in the summer by getting paid to work only a few days in the winter. Last year was ridiculous though lol
Just signed a 2 year contract with Walmart for snow removal so I’ll be sitting in the hot tub all winter

If you’re referred by someone else or you have tons of reviews there is no such thing as price too high. I’ve got the lockdown on no less than 6 HOAs and I’m convinced a couple of those think I’m the only pressure washing company in the universe. I work hard to keep it that way. Lol
Work on blowing all your competition out of the water with reviews and if you get into a couple HOAs do an amazing job, follow up and communicate better than any other company they’ve hired for anything else ever, send handwritten thank you cards. Do the little things that’ll make them want to trade their own grandson for you.

I was for last seasons contract. They asked me to do a 2 year contract. I get paid if it snows or doesn’t snow. Sooo let’s hope I have 2 years of NO SNOW!

I’m not in that league just have one truck a plow and spreader. I stick to small parking lots and churches I only get paid if it snows. I love pushing snow. I guess it’s just different from spraying water

It’s more fun with 1 truck and spreader. I run 4 trucks and heavy equipment and have no hair.
I like the quiet plus I can work as long as I want a few years ago I stayed in my truck for 26 hours and loved every minute of it
