Recommend Washing Clothes, Items, and other PPE

Fellow washers; I’ve been on the hunt for some 100% polyester pants. My needs for a pair were as follows:

-100% polyester
-Waterproof
-Wind proof
-Breathable
-More then one color
-side zips to get air in if I get too warm.

I found these after walking into a local outdoors shop and I’ll tell you what they are great. They meet all my needs. I poured straight 12.5 on them and it beaded off. I let it pool up in spots and it did nothing. I washed in them this morning and they worked perfect. I just wore them over a pair of shorts.

Now the only downside…… they cost $180….but you’ll only need one pair because they will last and hold up to what we use on a daily basis with washing. Very early in the testing phase, we will see how they hold up by the end of the season.

Where’s the belt loops?

@Innocentbystander there are no belt loops. It has a draw string and loops for suspenders as well. Going to pick up the suspenders online. They didn’t have them in store

Would it not be more convenient/necessary to have at least 2-3 pairs?

I agree with you that long-lasting and comfortable workwear is a smart investment!

My employee just had his pants split open at the rear while climbing the ladder today… Always good to have a change of clothes too…

@PMG if they hold up this season, I’ll pick up 2 more and have them in the truck for those just in case moments.

After seeing how they held up after yesterdays job, I have high hopes they be a good investment.

tac pants, 1/4 the price, bleach resistant (not proof).

Have you gotten a hotter mix on them yet? Anything higher then your normal HW mix? I’ve been having to use the 12v lately and I’ve burned up two pairs of “resistant” pants. That’s why I dropped $180 on a pair that can take straight 12.5

I’m not sure why y’all are spraying bleach on your britches. I use Walmart wrangler ripstock pants and the only thing that gets wet are the cuffs around my boots. Never any bleach on them

@Innocentbystander we can’t all be as smooth as you man. Maybe one day, but for now I’m going to paying $180 for pants because I get bleach on me at times. I’m a mess.

$25 amazon golf pants. 100% poly, have a belt loop :joy:, and they’re comfortable. Ours last until they get worn down from roof shingles, never any issue with bleach. https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Essentials-Standard-Straight-Fit-Stretch/dp/B07HJ8SBSG/ref=zg_bs_2420127011_3/143-5543235-7735947?pd_rd_i=B09LJNKFWS&th=1&psc=1

Good to know…do they hve a shorts version? Been going with the Kirkland ones from Costco, but it looks like those are in supply chain limbo this year…

@mikehallyall are they waterproof? I like those golf pants. I may get some for my quoting clothes!

$3 Lees Performance Series polyester cargo shorts found at a Goodwill. Bought two pairs last year and they’re going strong.

These are my favorites. 100% poly and super comfortable.

How’s the static cling?

I mean, that’s great sourcing and all, but not much use to outfit 9 or 10 guys on a regular basis as part of a uniform :joy:

A positive of being a one-man show I guess :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
