Take it easy there Will Smith haha. Battle scarred black Dockers are where it’s at. The chicks dig them too!
I haven’t noticed any cling
I sort of like where this post went with how folks started to show what they use to wash. I changed the title of the post so we can try to capture what is used for both clothing, PPE, or other items for washing. If you have items that works, share them so we can not bleach ourselves out, stay “dry”, get chem burns, stop trench foot, or just straight up look cool…….
If you list an item, let others know a brief description and throw a link in so you don’t have to get into too much detail. Thank everyone who have already posted, keep it going.
I’ll add a new one . Now don’t be too hard on me with this, but I needed something to throw everything in so I didn’t make trips back and forth to the truck for a tool or piece of equipment. The solution my wife thought of was to get a tool belt…. And well I love it and it is a little time saver for me.
I’ve seen worse ideas.
@Racer I’ll take that as a compliment lol
I use under armor brand pants, there a military style ripstop. Kinda pricey but I get a discount being in public safety. For shirts I use a company called finprint they designed and printed everything, I was a little skeptical at first but they have held up great no issues at all.
It was. Sometimes in summer especially, never have enough pockets
I like the cargo pockets that have a flap overtop of the pocket rather than the smoother zipper pocket. I Like to put my phone in the cargo pocket and it gives me insta access with a velcro flap. I keep my phone on my non shooting side, so nothing intereferes with rinsing or soaping.
5.11, proper, true spec, blackhawk, and others all make nylon ripstops, only some of them come with durable double knees (made for knee pad inserts which would be good for the folks doing roofs). I say buy whatever is on sale. I used to only buy 5.11 for my old job, they were the best, but their quality went downhill so I started buying propper, blackhawk, and true spec. Just avoid the chinese knockoffs, their sizes were never right and they never lasted as long. I also use a 2" nylon (web) belt with a non metal buckle. You will likely die before you ruin that belt.
@Racer I’m not used to a father figure giving a complement. It threw me off lol
