Racer Approved Application Device™ on sale now!

Typically water based sealers, I use a 1gpm pump currently and it looked like the ryobi was closer to .75… so wasn’t sure how much of an impact that would be as well.

Ryobi also has more psi, more than my 12v bucket setup I use. I think the standard tip is rainfall pattern, turbo, and stream. I don’t think it would be good for sealing, but I’m no sealing wizard. It puts out more product than my 2gpm bucket pump.

I just saw it’s 320 psi… that’s way too much for sealing, I’m at like 40 psi and 1 gpm and getting excellent results

I would say 99% of the people I work have a pressure washer. It doesn’t take them long to realize its a lot more work than they want to do or that it’s very limited in it’s capabilities. As far as appearance, it’s just one tool. When they see everything else I roll up with, they could care less if I’m using a Ryobi sprayer. You think they look at your brushes you’re cleaning a gutter with? They could care less, if they even see it. And if they do I explain the process and why I use. But have never had one ask out of hundreds of clients.

It’s won’t work for sealing, not with any tips they have. You’ve mentioned sealing a bunch of times in this thread. it’s not what it’s for.

There wasn’t much context for it in the first post so I had the thought that it might be a viable option… but yeah definitely not something I would add to my arsenal.

Hey Qons, racer. I was wondering if you could use a DI water tank 0tds supply with a sprayer like to to wash windows/cars?

It doesn’t put out much pressure. You’d be able to achieve about the same thing with a pump up.

I don’t wash windows but I had one customer who really wanted her front first story windows for the main room to be spotless.

I told her I couldn’t guarantee it’d be amazing but that I would do a final rinse of the windows with distilled water. Charged her extra. She was thrilled.

Tried it on my own windows. Worked great.

You applied it with a pump sprayer?

Yes :+1:

I use it for the chrome (rims, bumpers) on 1 of my vehicles. RO or RODI is what they use at the car washes for the “spotless rinse”. :+1:

I posted this in another thread. The pressure/gpm are too much for sealant but awesome for spraying all of the chemicals we use. Huge time saver and way better coverage than a pump up. I highly recommend!!

Got the whole kit including optional accessories, 2 lithium 20 volt batteries & dual charger at Lowes during a spot sale for $149.99. Maybe they’ll discount it again for the holidays.

Does it have a lower pressure shooter and fan tip? Thats my main concern, I’m tired of yanking out my 12v for a couple super nasty gutters and the 1 gallon pump ups just can’t reach.

Are you using the Chapin sprayers? On the rare occasion I need a pump-up for gutters, I find an A frame ladder gets me the height I need for a two story using the Chapin.

Yeah the end has a dial selector so: 0-15-25-40-shower.
I just did a gutter brightening job and it hit the 2nd story ones from the ground.

It also has a 2-stage switch button so you can instantly change from ‘Eco’ low pressure/volume to full power. I’m thinking full power is 800psi and Eco is 550~. It also came with 15-20 ft of poly braid hose and a ball float with strainer on end.

I have the Dewalt 3 gallon pump up. All Viton seals, excellent overall quality. It sprays everything and I always flush out tank/hose/pressure relief valve and spray handle. All those get drained and it’s left open so it’s dried out. Also put a coat of silicone grease on every o-ring couple times a year.

The nozzle assortment gets a C+. Not as precise as it should be.
