Hello all!
Been lurking here a few months trying to absorb the wealth of good information from the active members.
A little history, owned a sign biz for 26 yrs. Started pressure washing to develop my sign restoration services and that opened up a few PW jobs on the side.
Also did a 12 year stretch in the marketing department of a grocery chain servicing the signage needs of store locations.
Retired in July of 23 (yeah I’m 72…) so I’ve upgraded my equipment and the type of jobs. Don’t have to run every day so I’m choosy about taking jobs that I can provide great service and build my referral base of leads. Trying to be careful not to ‘step on’ established PW contractors who are running full time feeding their families.
Been doing house washes, concrete, patios, gutter whitening and just got asked to quote roof cleaning for a church after washing the exterior and all concrete/brick walkways.
Current equipment: BE unit w/Stainless Steel frame, Honda GX390, Cat Pump 4gpm, 18” surface cleaner, X-Jet setup 50’ poly braid hose & jrod (Doug Rucker), #2- 50’ HP hoses, Turbo nozzle.
Am almost done building out my 12V Delavan 7gpm roof wash pump, LiFePo lithium deep cycle battery, 200’ Kuri Tec 1/2” braid hose on an Eley extra capacity hose reel with 3/4 through plumbing. Using a 55 gal poly drum for batch mixing.
Also got a really cool battery powered 40volt Hydro Shot Max pressure sprayer from Lowe’s. Very handy accessory!
Looking forward to learning and sharing with everyone here!
