Question about Machine Throttle

I’m doing it. I’m just gonna use it for a little floating dock. How’d you secure the drums to the floor?

I’ve looked into this nonsense before. Looks like lotsa folks strap them on so there are no holes in the drums. Might as well put an engine, an office chair & a grill there at that point. Don’t forget the cooler!

This pond isn’t big enough to need a motorized craft…yet. I was actually down there today letting the dogs run and I was looking at how I might expand it in the future. For now, I just need a simple floating dock. Could probably get away with just using 4 barrels since all it’ll need to float is me and a six pack and my dogs.

I ran ratchet straps thru garden hose, with the ratchet being on top of the decking

Garden hose just for rubbing or did you cut it long enough where the ends are out of the water so the strap isn’t getting wet?

Just for rubbing, but it covers most off the strap

A guy could just about live on that thing. It’s got all the amenities

Why else would you build it?..

Well personally, I would replace the office chair with a recliner but as long as there’s a cooler on board, everything else is optional.

That office chair is about the most comfortable chair I’ve set on. Swivels, rocks, reclines and doesn’t mind getting wet

And since I have learned how to share an album

I saw this pic and thought @PPWofLexSC had convinced you to go with his washing setup.

Black truck :white_check_mark:
Lots of wood in bed :white_check_mark:
A few random tie straps :white_check_mark:

Hard to get the site to load

Yes it’s all kinds of messed up. Surely they’ve noticed? I had to click on a topic link posted on Google to get in. Maybe the landing page is broken or something

They’re working on it. Hopefully back online soon.
