Quit being nice and call it BS lol. Physics and rotational maths applies to every vendor. Education fellas not marketing hype.

Ed-jew-muh-cation is lacking in the U.S. Deception and lies, however, are steadily rising. So, at least we have that going for us.

Is this referring to me? Who’s lacking education?

No, it’s not. When someone replies to you directly they will click on the arrow at the top right of the post they want to reply to and you will get a reply notification. You started this thread so you’re probably getting notifications for every reply. You can change that in the thread settings I believe. But, to answer your question, there are more people lacking education in this world than there are with education. Having or not having education does not make anyone better or worse than anyone else. It merely opens up options in life.

Yeah the US isn’t great with that one comparing to other countries. I thought you were talking about me because I was asking a really stupid question.

I sold the 5.5 pump and switched to a gear drive 8/3000.

If you’re looking at buying a GX630 you might was well go ahead up get the GX690. It won’t cost you much more at all and you’ll already be setup for an 8 gpm. You can run an 8 gpm on a 630 but you’ll lose a little psi. Always better to have a little more hp just in case though. Plus, the engine won’t have to work as hard which will make it last longer.

It sure isn’t. But, it’s not the worst either so we just roll with it.

All we can do

I agree with @marinegrunt the 630 to me has always been the “nothing” motor of the bunch. The 390 and 690 really cover everything we need for cleaning.

Ok I’ll go with the 5.5 3000 690 then if I can find it. Thanks

I think you mean 8/3000 690. I was using a 5.5/3500 pump on my 630 and it was only using about 17.5hp.

I finally got a pressure gauge and it shows my 8gpm at 3000psi after 200’ of hose, and that’s using a GX630.

Newbie…this is just me…but if I were only going to have ONE machine I would not have a 3000psi machine. There is absolutely no advantage to having that machine as compared to a 3500psi…not one advantage. If you want to do this…do it right…if you get the 3500 pump, you will NEVER come back and say that you should have bought the 3000…not true if you reverse that situation. And, I will go even further…you say you want to do this right and have been saving money for 4yrs so that you could do it right. If that is the case, go spend $3500 and buy yourself a 8gpm/3500psi machine and I promise you will never regret it and I do mean…NEVER. Now, you can cut bait or you can fish…if you are gonna be out there, just makes more sense to fish.

hmm, thank you for the advice. Do you think I can really get that paid off? I don’t have any competition around here.

Nice.

Wow that’s great, thank you, I think I’ll just get the 8 then.

Is this really the best choice if I’m softwashing, I’ve read that 5.5 3000 pulls chem better than a 8GPM
