I do screen repair here in KY, couldn’t imagine how many of those porches need rescreening.
Time for a profitable winter trip perhaps??
Bird shot doesn’t make a big hole
Im only missing 80 percent of my screens! I do screens on a small level and will replace mine eventually. And @Innocentbystander the snakes are beneficial! We would be overrun with rodents without them
Man if I was younger and had two months to stay away from household responsibilities I could make a killing down there.
No such thing as a beneficial snake. You just need a six pack of Victor metal pedals:)
Those are the best traps. I am absolutely terrified of snakes. I dare say I’ve killed over 500 since the mid 1980’s when I started puttering around on the Black and South rivers.
The snakes aren’t interested in you. Its the vermin they want
I get that. I’ve also been bitten 4 times by banded water snakes. They are hateful creatures and it hurts. I’m just trying to pick up the slack for all those that don’t kill serpants.
The banded water snakes have ut the worse because everyone thinks theyre water moccasins. They can be largish
Got a good laugh at hateful creatures
I used to catch these fellows in my old house all the time. I was doing some yard work when this guy showed up & hung out for an hour or so. Had to transfer him to a better spot once he made it halfway under the house. Black rat snakes are nature’s pest control & 90 percent of them are tame if you pick them up. The other 10 percent just want to be left alone.
Thats a healthy guy
Before and after of the wash hurricane ian put on my backyard. Im going to attempt to straighten the pool cage today
Suns out. Time to hide! Thats why i setup my 10’x10’ i used to have so much shade. This is truly annoying
Is it pretty common down there to have screened enclosures around pools?
It’s Florida, if you don’t, the bugs will kill you and carry away your carcass in the summertime!
Lol. The mosquitos are about as bad as it gets in the summers.
But I’ve never seen an outdoor pool with an enclosure around me.
