@Racer don’t worry you’re not the only one waiting on that check…

I already said when you share something of value I’d send you a check. But based on the slander I’d say you owe me a check. Call it even?

   It’s not a party until…

:joy::joy::joy: I don’t owe you a single thing. You were the one that sent me everything that you compiled and asked me to proofread and make suggestions on it. Is that not contributing?

Regardless, I wasn’t even speaking to you yet you felt the need to speak to me.

I just want Heath to hurry and sell a million of those suckers for $10@. I’m about ready to retire in a year or so and need those royalties to sustain my expansive lifestyle, lol.

@Racer If your lifestyle is Ramen and below the poverty level I’ve go you covered with 100% of the royalties :rofl::rofl:

I just want to see pics of these estates. They sound awesome.

I’ve been looking hot and heavy for past year or two. Was thinking Portugal or SE France, but more recently looking more in west side of Spain, can find some nice places within hour of some nice beaches, still only an hour or two from France and kind of like the idea of not having to cross any borders to get to naval base in Rota if ever some kind of unrest. Got enough equity to get a pretty nice place and I’ll have family’s original home here if I wanted to come back. Just need those royalty checks to keep the place up while I’m not there, lol.
You ever spend any time around Rota during your time in? I figure my dad was in the navy, I’ve got my discharge papers from the army and if all else fails, I’ll slap my USS Hawaii coin on them. that should at least get in the gate.

Never made it to Spain. You ever get in a spot over there and I can still make some calls though.

The guy my cousin married was a navy pilot, but switched over to flying the big rescue choppers and was based out Rota for a few years. They loved it over there. He had some good stories, that’s a pretty busy part of the ocean around there.

I absolutely love spain! We had to stop in Rota on the way to the desert for about a week and man that is one of my favorite places in the world so far. Everyone was super friendly and kind (even though anyone could tell we were US military). Greece is beautiful but did not like the attitude of the locals. Everyone seemed short tempered and overall I did not feel like we were welcomed there.

You ought to look at Belize.
Cheaper flights.
Cheaper living.
Most speak English.

I’ve looked at, not for me, just another beach town area. And more crime lately. I love Europe, am a history buff and I like all the different architectural influences and the buildings that were built over 1000 years ago are incredible. Plus in 3-4 hours you can be in several completely different countries and cultures and the food in most is fantastic, mainly because nearly everywhere over there, the menus are local sourced.

If you’re wanting to travel and see things, then you’re right.
If you just want to kickback and chill, it’s amazing.

Crime-wise, it’s like any area. There are pockets of bad everywhere.

But the organization I served with ran mission trips in the worst crime-ridden city week after week with no issues. We figured out how to safely work/live in that context. And that usually meant being home by the time the sun went down. Lol.

if they’re looking for a Director of Tourism, you should definitely apply :joy:

I’ve been just about every year since 2011, and sometimes twice in a year. But sadly haven’t been since Covid hit. They shutdown big time. They made California’s restrictions look like kids stuff.

6 or 7 years ago, while we were in Spain my friends and I would walk/stumble about 2mi back to our hotel around 4am when the clubs finally closed down and we felt more safe even compared to Oklahoma City. :joy: It’s nice being in foreign areas where you can just enjoy yourself and don’t have to constantly look over your shoulder or be home before nightfall.
