Ok I am gonna put that back on then, easy fix.
Take off that filter by the pump, don’t need two. Clogged filters will cause cavitation. Have you checked that they’re clean

No I have not will do that tomorrow I will have to get a new fitting piece when I take off that grey filter
What fitting can I screw in and receive the water in place of that?
If you don’t want to mess with finding a fitting and its not leaking, just take the filter out. Not going to hurt anything leaving the body of it there.
Ok so I changed out the tube and now it’s holding pressure just not as much as I would want it’s 2500psi at the gage which might be normal. But my Joejet 30 isn’t as strong as it was with plugging it up straight to the house. I checked and I don’t have drips anywhere except one place and it is a tiny drip. And the belt sounds like it is clanging when in idol but is clanging in idol.
Ok I think my pressure washer isn’t wanting to pull water through in idle but will when I pull the trigger.
Well guys, water is still not pumping through the line when I am not pulling the trigger. I honestly have no idea what to do. I am ready to throw in the towel
Have you adjusted the unloaded?
Yeah I have now because it was pretty bad and I just changed it out. It started pulling water from the gun but not on idle. The last one was stuck I believe and pushing water from the bypass even with the trigger pulled but I have to learn how to set it now.
stupid question but are you throttled up? Half throttle my machine won’t really pull water through the pump efficiently.
Get a tachometer and check RPMs?
If its idling fine then sounds like you possibly have an air leak somewhere in suction though. Air leaks are pretty finicky on soft wash gas pumps/12v pumps but they can pose a problem for a pressure washer too. check your clamps/fittings. I had some crappy clamps and ended up having to double clamp one connection.
Specifically, have you adjusted the new uploader after install? It’s not just a swap out, you have to adjust and set your new unloader properly with your machine to bypass correctly.

Yeah I just saw this so I will set it. But the unloader/ machine is still surging in file like from 3,000 to 2,500 and I can not get it to stop. I can’t see any dripping anywhere so I don’t know about the air leak?
I am just setting the water to 125gallons so maybe that isn’t high enough on a 275lb IBC tote. Anyone in the Sevierville Knoxville TN area?
What size is your bypass line?
The tiniest of leaks will cause surging due to pressure loss. I have one ball valve that barely even leaks due to age and get surging when used. Triple check all your fittings and simplify as much as possible for testing.
Bypass line is 1/4 ID

My 2/100…I feel like your unloader is defective or not set correctly. It can cause all kinds of havoc if it’s a little off.
Also what nozzles are you running, and how long is your pressure hose?
I seriously doubt water supply is an issue at this point as I can draw from 15 gallons no problem on my 8gpm, unless there is a serious restriction somewhere. Are you venting the tank at the top, like a drilled hole? Don’t trust the cap vent.
Could it be that the pump is just worn out? Bad compression, so when you’re force feeding it water it does fine, but doesn’t have the compression to pull a vacuum and suck water?
