Pressure pro!

Back at it this week and down.
Backup 4/4 to the rescue again.
@Harold @Hotshot @CFH
I’m acetone washing the tank. I have to have a forklift to move the skid so I’m able to get it out. Besides changing carb, Checking fuel lines, and filter again, is there anything else I should check fuel related.

Poly gas tank ? isn’t this like the 3rd time that happened? Scratching my head, but let’s figure it out. First off, how are you fueling the machine? Fuel station, gas cans, both?

You’re getting rust out of fuel tank? Repeatedly? Poly or metal fuel tank? Obviously you have to find the source. :flushed:

It’s a pressure pro,so I’m assuming poly tanks. Another cat on here a while back had this issue ,it was the coating in the poly tank, but I thought @mgcmike already cleaned his out. Dunno ,have to wait on Mikes response I gather, @Sasquatch

Yea Harold and @CFH we’re the ones that pointed it out last time. It’s the plastic fading inside the tank going through the lines which has now gummed up the carb. And yes cleanout #2 still yielded some plastic. I’m talking to the NIlfisk rep right now trying to get another tank.

Just get another tank and be done with that mess

Yep,listen to @Innocentbystander,I was hoping it was from a transfer tank or another source, but it’s not,and you gotta faulty tank, that’s not gonna stop, just replace it,and draw from a temp tank till the new one arrives.get a couple cans of seafoam at the Walmarts while your there. It will probably clean out your lines and carb and bits. Its Great stuff !

I’m headed to west marine here shortly to do exactly that. Is there supposed to be another “filter” running from the carb to fuel pump. The rep is saying there is and he would check and see if it has debris but I’ve pulled all the hoses and only thing i see is a connector barb.

I just kept changing the fuel filter until it all passed. Running great since then. I went through a lot of fuel filters the first two weeks.

When prepping to seal a metal tank, a length if chain is used and shook violently to remove debris. Try that if trying to keep or continue using.

I had a metal gas tank off a honda generator that had bad rust in it. We put a bunch of marbles in it and shook the crap outta it. Then resealed. Worked pretty good. Like the chain idea as well

Yea its not pulling fuel. I’m cleaning the carb and might be the solenoid. It’ll run on choke, but kills the second it’s pushed in. Which would point to carb. I’m about to spray some cleaner on it and see if it fires when I get back with new fuel tank.

@Redjess it’s a poly flambeau tank. I cleaned it out once before and it was fine. It killed on me on the job. And low and behold honey crystals lol

Why hasn’t pressure pro sent you a new machine already?

@Innocentbystander they are nilfisk now that’s the Chinese outfit that bought them. They can’t even guarantee they’ll send me a new tank unless I drive 2 and a half hours to nearest rep.

Did you purchase from a vendor or directly from pressure pro/nilfisk

North Georgia Airless

If have that thing sitting on the sidewalk in front of their door before they opened in the morning. They may not make the mess, but if they choose to sell it they needed to stand buy it. Post their number and if a group of guys start calling and burning up their phone lines they’ll take care of the problem.
