Shots fired.
LOL, you must be bored tonite and looking to stir things up.
The big firework show is at the park a block from my house. We watch it from the back porch. Definitely bored of sitting in the heat.
Cough cough…
I posted this for you to mess with you a bit. I got the harbor freight inside track club coupons and the predator 22 hp is in there for $650 through July. I think I’m gonna give one a shot for funsies and see if it lives up to the hype.
Full disclosure…
I did replace the cheap fuel filter and replaced the fuel pump. Machine seemed like it was starving for gas. Briggs fuel pump matched right up. $20 investment.
I also added a tachometer because at wot it’s running about 4,200 rpm and my pump calls for 3k
@Innocentbystander figured that one out for me! I was pushing 4,800 psi on a 3k pump lol
I have also ran the dog crap out of that motor this summer without a bit of downtime!
Good info to have.
He figures a lot out for a lot of people whether they like how he has to say it or not. Lol
Even on the phone he had to raz me. “See if you’d have just bought a pre done machine you wouldn’t have this problem “
He’s right you know lol
But I love my pump setup!
You may have just talked me out of it. Lol
Spray paint it red… you’ll never know the difference.
How’d you figure out the Briggs matched up? Shot in the dark? Would a Honda part work?
Probably would! I took it off and walked into a small engine shop. He spouted out a part number off the top of his head and it was a match.
The Briggs fuel pump draws fuel about 5x better than the stock did.
Took me 5 minuets to swap out.
Haha was reading that thread yesterday as well. Someone built one here not to long ago and it worked good for them I thought.
Apparently Rob Anderson runs two them along with his Honda’s.
That was kinda the straw that broke the camels back for my desire to try one out.
I’m gonna give one a shot with a honda on the shelf since I bash them all the time and if it sucks I’ll have precedence for bashing them. Lol
Here’s the coupon should anyone be interested. Screen shot it. They’ll honor it.
I got two harbor freights 420cc motors, they start right up and when i broke them in i just left them on the wagon didnt move at all they’re smooth running engines. These motors have a good reputation for being reliable dont get me wrong its not a honda, but by the time one goes bad most likely the plastic flywheel or carb or ignition it would’ve done paid for itself and more
