Power Drill & Circular Saw suggestions

Need suggestions on what power drill and circular saw you all recommend. I’ve had my current power drill and circular saw for so long that I don’t even know what kind to get next.

Milwaukee stuff is great, M18 fuel series

I use Dewalt. They have never let me down. Buy the xr brushless if you do. The cheaper ones are just That.

Milwaukee. Die hard Milwaukee guy.

The M18 Circe saw is awesome if you can afford the big batteries. You definitely want cordless for the drills/impact drivers with standard batteries.

For the circ saw buy corded, cut the cord to about an 12-16 inch pigtail and install a twist lock plug. Make a 50’ extension cord with large gauge wire. You’ll thank me later. Probably after you cut all your power tool cords down to pig tails.

Just got used 15 minutes ago.

Dewalt all day

I have the Milwaukee M18 circular saw. It’s heavy but I love it. My other cordless tools are M12 and M18. The M12 are decent but other brands are as good. The M18 absolutely rock. Around here most of the contractors use the Milwaukee tools.

Unfortunately, this toolbox is currently being used to house my wand splash guard

This post might as well say Ford or Chevy.

There is no right or wrong answer its all a matter of personal opinion.

If there was a right answer it would be Ford and Dewalt though…

Probably true. I am a Chevy guy but own a Ford, 2 Toyotas, and Jeep?!

You misspelled Toyota and Milwaukee.

I’m glad you’re easy going. You remember that 3 month or so period every person who posted got offended by responses… I like to refer to that as the Witching Quarter

Makita for the saw. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000N5SVEY/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_x59JCbDVJZ0V6

Also, there is a guy on YouTube that has a channel called project farm. Does some really good reviews on a lot of tools and equipment. He’s not paid for them either.

The day I get offended on the internet will be the day I’ll give away my man card. I’ll just have to ask my wife if someone else can hold onto it for awhile hahahah

I have a big contractor pack of ryobi tools and love them. The circle saw is a little underpowered but to be expected with cordless saw. I have used and abused my ryobi stuff and it keeps working.

I did however get a 20 volt Dewalt impact 1/2 inch for my birthday last year. I haven’t used it in car lugs yet but it seems underpowered as well. For Christmas I got the drill and impact drill and they work as well as my ryobi. The Dewalt impact drill slip collar is a different metal than the ryobi and is kinda rusty. Sad seeing as it’s only a few months old. They are kept in the truck toolbox.

Can’t put plows on Toyota’s! Front ends are weak. If you want a plow on a Toyota you gotta spend huge bucks to beef up the front end and extend the frame. Good grocery getter! SHOTS FIRED!

My first set of power tools was the old school dark blue ryobi stuff. It all still works 10 years later. One of the original batteries still holds a charge as well. I’ve dropped that drill off roofs, down ladders and steps. I even dropped a full lift of 12 ft. 5/8s drywall on it once. Still works like a champ.

Mine are the newer greed ones. Dropped mine off the shop roof a few times. Only think that’s broke was the charger since I forgot it out in the rain overnight. I replaced it with a 6 port charger and was happy happy happy!
