Ordering from Dultmeier

This topic is mostly directed at Rowdy, but obviously open to anyone who has ordered from Dultmeier

@squidskc, I’ve been thinking of putting in an order for the stainless/kynar injectors with metering tips.

Are there any other things I should add to my order, that are super helpful to have but hard to find?

Any input on the ordering process?

For some reason, I’m always super hesitant to order from a new vendor. I can hardly bring myself to order off ebay, if I can find the same item for less than 50% more on Amazon, lol.

Udor pumps, pulleys, and injectors are the only thing I’ve regularly (1 pump) ordered from Dultmeier.

I have had a couple big orders because I didn’t want to search all the usual suspects for all the little things to save a few bucks. For the most part though they seem to have the best prices on a lot of different things the most important for me being the udors.

I usually call them because their website is tricky to navigate for me anyway. They ship fast if it’s in stock and will give you net terms if you want them. I like Dultmeier.

Do they have JIC - NPT fittings, that you know of? I’ve had a heck of a time finding them for mounting my unloader. I’m using m22 connectors, for the time being.

I can never explain what I want correctly when it comes to hydraulic fittings over the phone for some reason so I always take the part or whatever I need to adapt to my local hydraulic shop 10 minutes away and they take me right to the bins I need.

Bonus: their stainless steel QC fittings are half the cost of any vendor I’ve ever seen. Male QC are like $1.90 and female QC’s are a little over $3.

Yeah, I’m in the middle of nowhere. We don’t seem to have a local anything

On the upside, I can count my competitors on one hand

Send me your address. Even with Brodie sending me the link, I couldn’t figure out how to order the injectors

Order finally submitted. Just got the injector and metering tips

So metering tips increase/decrease draw rates?

Correct. Works just like the tips on an xjet.

Interesting… does it tell you draw rates?

You gotta figure those out with a couple bucket tests. It’s similar to the X-jet in that you’ll get a bag of 50 proportioners and other than the top three you can throw the rest out.

10-4… might have to get some for next year. I dont have time to play with new stuff right now… and honestly i dont do %s and math much, i just add SH until it cleans. But i do like that possibility if i need just a little hotter mix.

Never even knew this place existed until I saw it mentioned on this forum. Was pleasantly surprised to find that one of their two locations is a couple miles from me here in Davenport. Will be buying from them for sure.

Went and picked up an injector a little while ago. The guy there said that those metering tips weren’t for that injector. He said you had to buy a whole new injector to change the flow rate. They have them with different color nipples for different orifice sizes. It’s a 10 to 1 injector which is what i’m looking for anyway. He said buy an adjustable if you want to change your flow rate. Or buy a fixed and adjust your mix strength.

Those are the ones I had the most problems with.

And those metering tips work great. Been using them for the better part of a year on 4 machines and haven’t had to replace a single one.

i don’t know man, it’s what he said. Either way you can only decrease max flow with a metering tip, not increase it, right? Seems just as easy to adjust your mix to max flow than switching metering tips. Maybe I’m not getting how they’re used. Where do they even go in the injector?

They go in the end of the hose barb (I’m assuming- that’s how the xjets work)

The idea is to not have to dilute your SH. Just add surfactant. Save space and weight on your rig by not needing a separate mix tank

Sounds like that guy didn’t know what he was talking about, or maybe didn’t understand what you were trying to do.

I see. You could also just use a slower flow rate injector, too, right?

Yeah, but you’re also getting the reliabilty of a stainless/kynar injector with hastelloy spring and ceramic ball, and fancy schmancy o-rings I forget the name of, lol.

Don’t think they actually make such a sturdy injector with a lower draw rate.

Like Squid said, same injectors full time, all year. No replacements/rebuilds needed. Won’t get that kind of longevity out of a plain old brass injector

The point is you don’t need too. For me, I pop the hose off the barb and take out the metering tip for a 1% ratio for bad houses, bad gutters, and stucco that’s just starting algae growth. I thread in the biggest orifice metering tip for .8% ratio on everything else. Takes 30 sec and over the course of around 400-500+ houses it saves a lot of SH and a lot of rinsing.
