I love those. I have a few spares that I bought on ebay. That’s where I would check first.

Lol, only a power washer would refer to a cam lock as exquisite. Good stuff

They have the Gator Lock brand at TSC. that’s mostly what I use. They hold up well unless you run them over, lol.

Those work great too. I had those before I found out dultmeier carried the same things just banjo brand. I usually put in a good sized order with dultmeier 2-3 times a season for fittings and what not. Keeps me from going to another store where I’ll find other fun stuff to spend money on.

Just ordered those cam locks for the garden hose. Great tip! @squidskc. No more fighting that aluminum fitting.

All I can say is you’re all in the pw business and you can’t screw a hose on a faucet. Kids and their toys.

I would be buying 20 fittings a year because they were left at the house we last cleaned

I got the Mr Spigot lime green fitting pictured above…didn’t realize 4 of them cane in a package. It took some getting use to but it works well. It’s not 1/4 turn…more like 3 turns. But I haven’t had any issues after about 40 house washes since I bought it. It snaps on high up on the threads so if you have a spigot that’s beat it will still work.

Ya i don’t think they sell 3/4.

This is me trying to thread on aluminum hose end to the faucet…

I got some metal ones at agri supply to repair hose ends. No where near as good as a Barb style and hose clamp

Yeah, I can, but the plastic camlocks protect the ends of the expensive hoses we use and I find we can more easily pinch the hose and pot the camlock off while it’s still under pressure if needed.

That Mr. Coupler in the picture does kind of look like one of those plastic hose menders. With the Mr. Coupler you screw it onto the end of your regular hose fitting. You then push it up and it slides on the spigot instead of having to screw it all the way on. Once it bottoms out you then only have to give it a couple turns to tighten. It’s just a quicker and easier way than messing with the small hose fittings. I’ve never used one because I think they’re discontinued.

When it comes to hose menders (or whatever they’re called) I do agree that the barb and clamp work better.

Then I’m even more confused. I’d loose my mind if my guys were messing around with such nonsense instead of taking three seconds to hook a garden hose to a water spigot.

Remember that time I converted you to stainless steel proportioning injectors…

I love those with the gray proportioner. They’re the best I’ve found with 8gpm

Exactly!

Haha…How’d I know that was coming.

As of now I still use the regular old garden hose fitting but I’m going to use the camlock idea above. A lot of spigots are easy to get get to, only take 3 seconds, and especially on hydrants. I’ve ran across a lot around here where you have to lean over a row of evergreen bushes to where you can barely reach it with your fingertips. I’ve also had some surrounded with vinyl trim making a small box around them which can also be a pain. I’m pretty patient but not for tedious little crap like that. I’m not into all kinds of gadgets and useless stuff but, if there’s an easier way that only costs a few bucks, I don’t mind trying it.
