Welcome! Yes itās natural to feel overwhelmed by the information on here. But it doesnāt take long to see whoās giving excellent advice consistently. Bookmark every post you think will be even slightly helpful, pick topics at random and read every single post. Write the best ones down, send PMās to people, meet up with people in your area. This is one of the most supportive groups of professionals Iāve known in any trade. Be willing to be wrong, and be willing to accept why lol
thank you. and man, thatās only about an hour away but thereās absolutely no way i can that weekend. what terrible timing.
thank you
Everything you need to know is here. I wouldnāt waste my time and money taking that courseā¦
yeah that was basically the purpose of my post/thread. iāve been on many forums (none PW related) that all have had introductions sections. i have seen so many generous, intelligent, knowledgeable individuals share info, tips and tricks on this group and itās definitely appreciated! iāve also seen every chuck get grilled for not using the search function.
iāve literally been screenshotting posts with important information and adding many things to my notes
Hereās a link to the search bar. It hasnāt been working for some lately and redirecting people to the window cleaning forum. Bookmark it so itās within reach when you need it.

iāve been using so much itās probably worn out for other users
Good call. If you click the three dots at the bottom of any post, it brings up a tall rectangle with a triangle bite out of the bottom. Thatāll bookmark; I go back all the time and look at my bookmarks. Especially helpful for the āwhat will work on this stainā posts
I know what you meant about being overwhelmed with all of the information. That just means youāre doing a heck of a lot of research which is good. I felt the same way when I first came here and didnāt have a clue about the correct way to wash. To be honest once you have a decent understanding the best thing you can do is just get out there and start washing. Just start with basic house washes and flat work for family or friends. Eventually youāll book some jobs that youāre not 100% on so just be sure to come on here and do a search for the info. Iāve been on jobs in the past where Iāve had to stop and do a quick search.
Just keep reading though. You might feel like youāre not going to remember everything but youāll be on a job in the future and youāll run across a situation where a post will come back to you. Even if you donāt completely remember the whole post or, exactly what to do, it will jog your memory enough to where you can come back on here and search for the thread you were thinking of.

oh nice my sister lives in kyle. iām south of houston.
@TheWashBoss itās absolutely normal to feel overwhelmed, scared, unsure, second guessing things, thinking what if āthisā or āthatā happens. I remember 16 years ago when I was driving to my first ever paid job under official business name and gear I almost wanted to turn around Halfway because I was so nervous. Thereās a million ways to skin a cat when starting out always focus on the very basics first wether it be downstreaming, x-jetting, 12volting, mixing SH, whatever! etc. absorb plenty of what @Racer @Innocentbystander @DisplacedTexan @Sasquatch @Hotshot have to say, very accurate advice. Good luck, and donāt spend it all at once.
@TheWashBoss reviving this post a little. I am also new to business and this forum. I jumped right in without introducing myself and got some great advice from the others mentioned here. Awesome group of professionals, trying to make a good living. I am just west of Houston in the Katy area and have been going since the beginning of January. My business filing hasnāt even finished processing yet. Anyhow, if anyone from the Houston wants to grab a beer or 2 or 5 let me know.
