New pressure hose time

I use up to 200’ coupling 50ft sections together. will probably do 100ft sections . Most single wire hoses are 4000 psi but when you get a cat hose or dewalt or some of these other brands they go up to 4500 psi because you want more with that 4k psi pump I’m looking for non marring and flexible in 50ft or 100ft sections . I have one 50ft section now that is super flexible but don’t remember if it was a cat pump or landa brand everything is worn off it now. so I’m looking at Fierce Jet at the moment . suggestions?

You saying you’re looking for 4500# hose? Because you’ll never need that much pressure, let alone 4000#

its what my machine peaks at actually 4200

If the vendor you bought your machine from says it peaks at 4,200 psi, that probably means you will be perfectly safe with one wire hoses. What GPM is your pump & what engine are you running?

gx390 and 4gpm

Those one wire / 4000 psi hoses will be more than enough. Also, if you’re rolling them up by hand, stick with 50’s & thank me later.

Burst pressure much higher than operating, 4000psi hose will be fine.

Is that grey non marking, not being smart but their blue was supposed to be non marking and it marked up everything

@racer Do you still run it through the reel & DI bypass? How much hose do you keep on it?

You must be special. I’ve been using the blue for almost 3 years now and have never marked a thing except for when I got it caught on a white painted square corner post and it scraped off a little of the hose on it when I jerked it, lol. I’m sure the gray doesn’t mark either. Hard to mark when no color. But I wipe down all my hoses when I’m rolling up so maybe I get all the loose color out of them.

Every single vinyl deck rail/spindle that it touches, no lies. Maybe I just got lucky. I actually started clipping rags to the deck area wherever the hose touches, seems to work, just a PITA.

Oh, and I took your advice, I have a rag in hand everytime that hose gets reeled in. I keep a bucket nearby in case it got filthy.

Most the time I just keep 200’ on the reel, but occasionally 250. and yes. But on my truck setup I only have a 12" pw reel and you have to be supper neat to get 250 on it.

Good stuff. Pressure-wise, I’ve got 5, 50 foot sections on a 400 foot reel. It sits on there funny but works well. I just use the reel to store the hose & roll off what the situation calls for. It takes exactly 150 feet about 73.47362% of the time but it works out great when I can get away with 50 or 100.

Do you have a particular brand of quick connects for hose that you use? Figured I’d ask the pro for new updated information while Im hunting around through the old posts for info!

I always use stainless and for the ones I actually use a lot like on my ball valves or coming out my gun, I use the good ones, ie not made in China

Always been curious what the benefit is of the higher quality QCs. The only issue I can imgine that happensis the burring of the plug which siezes them up…What have you found?

I’ve been buying the cheap ones from Russ, butI’m alwaysopen to spending for quality when there’s a marked benefit.

Just seem to have a little less trouble with them, but probably not a lot of difference.

The cheaper ones bind up sooner.
