New injector and now problems with backpressure

I resolved one issue which was the no flow. Where the temperature probe tee’d in it was causing the probe to smush against the inlet of the injector. I had all the fittings apart and noticed the tip of the probe was bent so I added a nipple and I have flow now.

But it still won’t pull soap. I put the original fixed injector on and I was pulling about 22:1 but with this new one I can’t pull any soap.

Any ideas?

For some reason it’s sideways, sorry

Hey, what happens if you disconnect everything up to the injector? Maybe put a short pressure hose on it, no gun…see if it draws soap then.

Someone has been paying attention

I have the same injector and it was giving me the same problem.I took it off and threw it in a box of old fittings and installed what I have been using from Bob @pressuretek for years with no problem.General hi draw 5-8gpm.

Yeah I think I’ll do that. This was a cool concept with the interchangeable orifices but it’s quite a headache

@squidskc I was reading your post boosting this injector. If I have a 5.5gpm machine you think I should try the 2.1 orifice injector instead of the 2.3?

Have you seen this video? A lot of guys are using the stainless injector from Dultmier with the different orifices.

If you have a 5.5 then you’ll want the one designed for 2-3 gpm I think it is and use the variable orifices to control your mix.

Yeah that is the one I have that I’m having all these problems with

My bad. I didn’t realize it was the same one. Have you tried a different metering tip? I think most use the grey. Although, draw rate will vary depending on equipment.

Yeah I tried a few of the largest tips, Gray included and also no tip at all. I tried shortening my 1/4” hose, tried priming the hose, elevated the soap above the injector. I really want this to work but it’s just being a PITA

Why do you want it to work so bad ? Do you have a GP High draw injector already ?

When dcbrock above mentioned shortening your hose he meant try it without your 200’ of pressure washing hose. Also, try it with no nozzle in your gun. Some people haven’t been able to draw with 250’ of hose but, once the dropped down to 200’, they were fine. Start with a short section of hose just to see if it draws.

I don’t have a high draw but I ordered one last night and I’ll do a draw test on it. But I’m just thinking if a house a very very dirty I can use a larger tip instead of soaping the house twice. I’m just thinking it may be a time saving tool. I wasn’t happy with my 22:1 I’m currently pulling. But once I get the high draw maybe I’ll scrap the whole interchangeable orifice thing

Yeah I got that but I haven’t had a chance to try it yet. I was just trying to change any variable I could to see if I could get it to work. Everyone in my family was sick this weekend so getting out to the garage wasn’t happening too much.

I use the Hi Draw and have to mix 3 gallons of water to 2 gallons of 12.5%. If I want a stronger mix I just use less water. @Hotshot uses metering tips on the end of the hose using a Hi Draw. I’m going to try the same thing this coming season. He uses his for 2 stepping so I’m not sure how it’ll workout with SH but I don’t see why it won’t as long as I can dial my house wash mix in.

  1. I have a 35 gallon chem tank that I have undiluted bleach in and I was kind of hoping to keep it that way. So at the end of the day when I top it off I won’t have to for example, add 13 gallons bleach and X amount of water.

  2. You’re saying he uses a High draw and the little plastic colored orifices? Do they screw into a highdraw?

What’s the OD of that metering tip @mwpws ? Will it fit snug inside your 1/4 poly pick up line ?

Excuse the particle board, but it came with my reel. I’m doing a test to see how long it lasts. Lol
