What an honour it would be to get kicked out of home.
JGB hose called and left a message yesterday and said he’s just checking to see how my hose is holding up. I called back today and told him it blew after a handful of uses. He’s sending a new one on Monday. I purchased mine in June or July and he said he’s calling everyone that bought hose around that time because they got a bad batch. I kind of wish I would’ve just taken the refund but decided since they actually reached out to me I’d give them another shot. I’ll likely still be ordering from The Hose Company going forward just because it feels like a beefier hose. I’m pretty happy about JGB reaching out. Not too many companies would do that. This was Tim from the New York store.
I directed them to this forum and told them a lot of folks were unhappy. I’ve got 4 sections coming. Up be glad when we can get some decent hose from China again.
Did you order from the New York store?
I placed a second order a few months later through the St. Louis store since it was closer. We communicated through email. I told them probably 5 times I needed the gray non marking. I get the box open and it’s black. They told me if I sent the black hose back they’d send the right color. Heck, the shipping is half the cost of the hose. I told him if they emailed me a shipping label I’d be more than happy to send it back. That was the last I ever heard from them again. They had mailed the hose before they got payment information from me so I wasn’t out anything. I would’ve been more than happy to place another order if they wouldn’t have blown me off. I didn’t have any issue from the New York store. Tim was great. Anybody want 225’ of black two wire hose…lol

I actually linked this thread to them in an email as well and explained their product was failing across the board.
It did. They sent him the non marking blue at first. They still sent him the gray because that’s what he originally ordered.

Sounds like most of the bad hose came from a batch from the New York and Charlotte store. I think @qons had one fail prematurely but he ordered from St. Louis store so they might’ve gotten a bad batch too. I haven’t heard of anyone who ordered from the Texas store have any issues yet.
Your jobs would take twice as long because you’d be spending half the time cleaning up black streaks from the concrete or anything else it rubbed against. I might make it into a couple 100’ sections and give it a couple friends.

Mine burst with just part-time use after a few months. I thought it was a fluke at the time.
Just got 250 ft worth from the hose company Easy process.
I did the same thing–I let the St. Louis branch know we were having problems, and I let them know I had a hose burst with minimal use, and I sent them a link to this thread.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get the same response.
Looks like my post above was correct.
As of Thursday John Snyder had no memory of telling me they were going to replace the hose but if I gave them my credit card number they would be glad to ship me some more.
Now that is customer service
