New Hose Supplier

Just wanted to say thanks for bringing this recommendation, @marinegrunt . I bought hose from Scott, had one issue after a little use, and he’s been Johnny on the spot with taking care of it. He is definitely committed to putting out a quality product. After telling him the issue I had (leaking near the crimp), he did testing on several different fittings and hoses and ended up finding an issue with the fitting they used with the single wire hose I ordered, and found one that was holding up to nearly 20,000psi. The Hose Company has been awesome to work with, and the price is completely fair.

I’m definitely glad I found them. My jgb hose that was about 8 weeks old just split. The sad part is it become my backup to my old washer after I got my Hydromax so had hardly been used. The Hose Company hose is definitely built better. I did order two wire for the Hydromax though. How do you like the one wire? Does it feel like it’s pretty good quality? I might order some of that for my other reel. They’re out of 2 wire until the end of November.

Yes I was using the single wire JGB as well and had one pop each month for the last five months. I won’t be using them anymore. I’m very happy with the feel of the hose. The cover is really smooth, and it’s definitely beefier than the JGB single wire, or even when I used to use United.

Maybe it’s just us but we had 2 jgb hoses burst today  on separate machines…so frustrating.

Both were bought 2nd week of this July.

Going to try The Hose Company and see if we can get more then a few months use.

It’s not just you. I had a jgb hose burst a week or two ago and was only a few months old. Plus, I only used it a handful of times because it was on my backup washer reel after I installed The Hose Company two wire hose on the reel for the Hydromax. I’ll never order jgb hose again. It’s garbage. @qons also had one blow that wasn’t very old. He’s part-time too so didn’t see daily use.

I sent Scott from The Hose Company a text the other day and all they have is one wire. They’ll be getting two wire in November. I think I’m going to order some one wire for my backup. I have the two wire on my hot water thinking it might last longer. Not sure if it makes a difference or not. It seems to be great quality. If it doesn’t last you at least 3 times I’ll take you to the all you can eat steak and I’ll buy. :cow2:

You don’t even have to call Scott if you don’t want to. Text him your name and address, and email address. Let him know what you want. You’ll then receive an email with a paypal link to pay with credit card. A few days later you’ll have your hose.

Jgb, is that the same as the grey 1 wire a lot of us use?

I think so. A lot of us use to use United Hose until they increased prices. JGB then got popular on here. They’ve definitely been hit or miss. Seems more miss than hit. Not to mention JGB and sending the wrong color hose. Infinity got sent blue the first time. The 2nd time I ordered they sent me black when I even verified the color through email a couple times. They tried getting me to ship it back on my dime ($100) and then they’d send me the right color. Lucky for me they sent it before getting my credit card info. I tried getting a shipping label sent a couple times but they never replied. Never even asked if I wanted to place another order for the correct hose. A few weeks later my original 2 month old jgb hose blew. I’m all for giving chances but too many others have had issues with with hose that wasn’t very old. If anyone wants 225’ of black two wire I’ll give you a special price. If it was one wire I’d mail it to @Hotshot. I’d send the two wire but I wouldn’t want to listen to him always complaining how it’s too heavy and his arms are sore. Would probably take him twice as long to wash a truck.

Just spoke to John Snyder at JGB. I’ve lost 4 hoses in the last two weeks and he said he is going to make it right.

Unless they can make it right by making a better hose I’m done with them. Seems a bunch of us have had issues with hoses blowing in not time at all. Order one hose from The Hose Company and you’ll be done with JGB. The Hose Company is right in your backyard too. I think they’re out of Mathews, NC.

Seems like the best hose to get is the hose company in non-marking grey. Either 1 or 2 wire. I’ll be grabbing the 2 wire

They’re out of two wire until sometime in November. They have one wire in stock now though.

@Innocentbystander any rhyme or reason where they broke?

I’ve had hose company for abt 3 months now, still in great shape

They all blew within a day of use. Two in less than a minute. Different places.
