It looks good

Overall I like it. Good content. You hit all the hot points. I really like the mention of a free no hassle demo. Free is always a good gimmick. Also tells people you can prove they need it if they are skeptical.

I did notice a couple of things. Don’t take them wrong but my honest opinion.

The roof looks like its photoshopped because the lower portion is dry. I’m a big fan of showing actual vs simulated.

The red text looks off the way it follows the line and is a little close to the word roof.

It says “house soft wash” but everything else ends with “ing”. Shouldn’t it be “house soft washing”?

All great points. That’s why I posted it here. Appreciate the good eyes here. I’m going to leave the picture but take the rest of the suggestions. The photo is unedited. It’s still wet. I think it’s a combination of light and suds in the roof mix. I didn’t notice them but you’re right.

Not a fan of the white outline around the light blue type in the header. I think it washes it out a bit. Try black or deep navy and see how that looks.

What’s going on the back of the card?

I’ll give that a try. Thanks. No back. I have my eddm cost down to .24c mailed. I’m trying to keep it lower to send out more.

Good suggestions guys.

I don’t know much about eddm, but as far as the copy goes I’d probably change Damage-Free Guarantee to Shingle Safe Guarantee. In marketing, the buzz words for the problem you’re addressing can be the first word, but the buzz words for the solution should be warmer.

If the eye is drawn to “damage” or it’s not’s fully read beyond a glance that’s not a psychologically pleasing word.

With the copy up top “Stop! Look at your roof. What are those ugly black streaks on the roof? Mold…”

Thats a LOT to take in. I’d probably look for away to pose a question that is shorter. “Are you the neighbor with the ugly roof?” or “Black streaked shingles? We tackle that.”

Lastly, Be careful of your use of the word mold. Depending on your state regulations you have to have a license to “remediate mold”.

You’ve been doing you homework. Great suggestions. I was just about to submit the proofs. I’m glad I checked back on the forums.

That’s awesome! The only thing I would probably see if the font color on “Are you the neighbor with the ugly roof?” as all white there would make the question pop.

I love it otherwise. I think moving Algae, Fungus, and Moss are living on your roof below the line looks fantastic.

The alliteration of Shingle-Safe works wayyy better than Damage Free. Low Pressure Roof Cleaning is the biggest thing on there. That looks great.

I’m a marketing NERRRRDD man. I could read marketing books and articles for the rest of my life and probably never get bored.

How are you designing these?

I’m using a program called PhotoImpact. I’ve been using it forever. I think correl bought them out.

Check this color scheme out at the top.

or

Haha I hate being nitpicky, but I like the white on the are you the neighbor with the ugly roof and the white for We can make your roof look new again!

Stop! In all red works great. i just have a hard time reading the sentences in anything other than white and I have good vision. Lol

No worries. 9 out of ten times these suggestions improve the finished product. That’s why I posted it here to get nit picked lol.

I like it.

Me too. I’m submitting it.

Then I will finish this beer, eat, and rest. The weather has been horrible down here. I’ve got some catching up to do for the rest of the week. I’m thankful for the down time though. I got a bunch of stuff done off of my procrastination list.

Thank to everyone for the great suggestions!

Why no back? I get trying to save a little, but the print cost to do the back is very small and you can put way more info about what you do on there. One side for roofs and one for house washes if you want. The postage is the same so why not send a complete card. Your post card in someones mail box will not always be copy side up so having both sides make sure that you card will be seen from either side.

Also what size are these cards? Make sure you have the correct size or you wont be able to mail them. On the computer they look like width wise they might be too short.

Also there is no call to action on that card(or atleast not a very strong one).
Your head line ask a question, great. Lets say they look up and see their roof is dirty. Then what? Maybe now they are consider getting a roof cleaning, why should they call you over the next guy?

With a headline its good to answer the question somewhere in the add. Heres why you should get it clean…
And to really get them to move fast have an offer.

I would also change the picture if you have a better B&A

Curious if you plan to order and mail these cards out now?

The price difference is .07 vs .11. For every 2,000 ordered it will be an extra $70. The price difference can go to the postage. From my experience people either throw them away or look and save it for later. I cant see the back making much of a difference. It’s like you receiving a coupon for an oil change. You either need one or you don’t.

I do like the idea of both sides, one for house wash and one for roof. But right now I’m keeping costs down and pinching pennies. Maybe later. .24c per home
