New build starting!

Well gents, here is my new trailer that I’m about to start building. Hoping to get some Raptor liner down tomorrow and then start loading stuff in. I have tons of ideas that I have jotted down over the last several months that I hope I remember, but feel free to drop any suggestions along the way. Still not sure about the enclosed, and still working on how I want to lay it out and run my exhaust for my burner. Have a few ideas and will see which way I go with it. Anyway, will try to keep you guys up to date on the progress along the way. It’s a 7x14 if anyone is wondering.

Dang that’s sweet @SurfaceMedic ,I’m jealous, Good for you sir. Keep us posted with pics , I’m either looking at a straight truck or a 16’ or 18’ ,8.5’ enclosed trailer with the fenders inside with a ramp door on back to dolly chems in and out.

Thank you Sir @Hotshot! I’ll be honest, I’m not completely sold on the whole enclosed trailer, but had to go this route for storage purposes. Can’t store at my house so will be storing it at a storage yard that is attached to my neighborhood. So didn’t want to leave my open trailer stored there with all my equipment out in the open and for the taking! I’d love to go to a NPR with a flatbed ideally, so hoping that will be my next build!

I’ve been doing the open trailer for going on 3 yrs now, I’m sick of everything covered in sand,grit and filth all the time and winterizing, We travel alot of gravel and dirt roads. Imo an enclosed trailer looks way nicer and keeps everything organized and lasting longer, look at all the wall space to hang things. and that v nose for some cabinets and a bolt down 2 tier tool chest and a work bench. Then you can run 12v led lights in there and have 110v recepticals then hook up to the house or a little genny. I’m debating on the exaust out the driver side or just run it out the back. I really don’t wanna go through the roof.
Imo you made a nice investment and wise decision.

Beautiful trailer but why did you not go 8.5’. You got the back door/doors right!

I’m debating on that as well. I’m sure its nicer for residential and tight spaces and a more reliable door system due to less moving parts. I just like the idea of loading stuff on and off @dperez.
:thinking::man_shrugging:

@Hotshot more wall space to hang things :grin:

I know one thing 4 sure, Get that black beauty coated with a good carnuba or silicon wax . Its doesn’t take long for that shiny black paint and aluminum to go flat and chalky…Ceramic coating is pricey as hell, but lasts years.

Steel Pallet Jack Ramp | JIMBO'S GARAGE - YouTube funny I just watched this a hour ago.

I’d just make up a good sturdy one out of 3/4" cdx and 2x12

If I only had as much time as he does to fab. He’s living the dream

That looks nice! I’ll be watching through the winter. I’d love to have all the advertising space on that thing!

Honestly didn’t even think about the 8.5 @dperez. That might have been better.

Doh I shouldn’t have said anything lol

@dperez I’m much the same, I could part ways with anything in the garage except my Migs and Tigs. I even had an upholstery shop make me some custom dust covers for them :joy:

Wth bro you don’t sew???

@dperez can’t find the hole
