Need guidance on my next purchase

Im reading thru old threads now debating the 12v vs 115v subject. I see what you mean. My only delima is space, but I’m sure I could make it work if need be.

They will deliver to a residence, using a pallet jack, but they will not load it on your trailer. They will drop it on your garage floor or driveway, they will not run it up on your trailer. And a hand truck wont do it for you either.
Ask me how I know.

You ordered from this company particularly? or just a similar experience?

Have you checked locally? It’s nice when there’s a problem to have someone local to go to. My guy here has loaners so I can keep working. It wasn’t anymore than what I would have spent online. If I remember correctly you’re in Nola if so you’re only a couple of hours from me so you could pick up and he’d even bolt it down for you

If the price is the same I would much rather buy local, the local company tried selling me a 6gpm hotsy for 11,000. I’m gonna head over there tomorrow and tell them what I’m looking at and how much, hopefully they can compete. They do loaners as well. I bought my current machine from them. But I can’t justify spending twice as much. I’ll let you know, I may need to travel to your guy

Yeah that’s way to much. I’ve never been real impressed with hotsy. There’s got to be a pressurepro dealer there. If not come here. I’ll help you set it up.

I’ll do some searching and let you know what I find. How far are you/your dealer?

I’m in Brandon the dealer is 20 minutes closer to you. It takes us a little over 2 hours to get to New Orleans. We like the food

He carries Landa Whitco and pressurepro

Not bad, I’ll let you know what I find out. Thanks a lot

Harold I would stick with an 8 gpm if u go low on gpm u will regret it the one u have posted above has an ADC burner so it is rated for 6 gpm to get the water temp to 200 that’s why it don’t get that hot but it gets hot enough around 160 is plenty hot if u get a 115 volt it will have a AFG burner still rated for 6 gpm so the water temp will be the same for either 12 v or 115 v so just what powers the burner is different unless ur going to need that munch heat day in day out I wouldn’t give up gpm stick with 8 I’m sure 12v or 115 v would be fine

Damn. This is misleading. Why would they put a 6gpm burner with a 8gpm pump. I’m pretty sure that I need it to get hotter then 160 to clean greasy dumpter pads and remove gum? I was using a hotsy rental that got up to 200 and it was still a pain removing gum. I can imagine that it would be more difficult at 160?

Anyone have this machine use it for gum or dumpster pads with success at 160?

That’s around the temp I clean with most of the time unless something is just really bad I will do some tests today and see just how hot it will put out

Now I’m wondering if I should buy the cold water skid, and a real 8gpm hot box seperately?

8 gpm @ 3500 psi 690 w/ general pump

8-12gpm hot box

Then I would need to wire it correctly which I have no idea how to do but I’m sure I could figure it out, or just run a generator. But I would have a better hot water system to blast away the grease. Thoughts?

Thanks bud, I really appreciate that. How are you planning on testing? With a thermometer or something?

I know I’m probably being really particular but I’ve bought stuff before just to get by, and I don’t want to do that again. If this means I need to wait or put a little more work or money in I’m willing to do so. Just getting tired of putting rental money in the drain.

160 degrees is usually plenty hot for grease and gum. Anything over that most of the time you’ll be wasting diesel

Ya with a thermometer just seen we’re u were thinking bout less gpm and was going to shop around they are better and was just giving u a heads up for what to look out for before u got ripped off people will tell u about anything to sell ya something but u will like that skid and like I said it gets plenty hot enough

Harold u can do it like this and it will get hottttttt enough LMAO
