Need guidance on my next purchase

I’m putting this in a enclosed trailer. I should be able to just put it towards the back and open the back ramp door since it has a horizontal hot box?

Buying the 8gpm hot box separately I would have to go vertical and do duct work. If you guys are saying 160 is hot enough, I think I’ll avoid the duct work. It’s still a tough call not to have the option of going hotter.

LOL. What the hell is going on there? Doesn’t look like anything I want to do. I netter get me a fire extinguisher on my trailer ASAP.

Lol he was washing and the igniter wasn’t working so it was filling it with diesel so he fixed the igniter and figured he would :fire: it up and burn out the diesel just remember if ur using the burner and the water gets cold stop because it is still pumping fuel inside the coil either it’s out of fuel or something else is wrong if u don’t it will go boom

Where’d you hear that.

For the most part I’ve always kept my thermostat around 160 and have not had any issues unless it’s like around a grease pit that hasn’t been cleaned in years but even then with a good soap it’s usually not an issue. I think you’ve discussed this before. I have senior moments so I could be mistaken.

I was referring to the 2500psi on commercial.

I tried the enclosed trailer once hated it u would love an open setup but if ur hell bent on an enclosed I would definitely do the duct work between the burner sh tank and motor running and a generator if u go 115 with the burner separate open trailer everything can breath including u lol and that skid is heavy plus u will be adding 30 gallons of fuel and if the floor is on 2 ft center that ain’t good sure it’s a double axel if not will be easy to unhook lol but don’t know what kind of trailer u got

Single axle 5x10 V diamond cargo rated at 2100 lbs. the skid is 784lbs

I was going to put 125 buffer tank to save room.

I added everything up and it’s close, but I’ll have to travel with the buffer empty for sure.

I know an open trailer would be more convenient but I already have this and once it gets letteed it will be better for advertising. It’s definitely going to be crowded

I seen some pre built trailers where the skid is just near the rear so the horizontal burner is facing straight out the rear with no duct work. This is my plan but we all know how plans change

I just called thepumpoutlet. Jonathan told me that the burner is rated for 8gpm, and it has 120-160 degree heat rise. Realistically more around 120. So if I’m in south Louisiana and the water temp is about 60deg, it will be 180. And so on

I’ve never had a problem with 2500-3000 psi. Less risk of damaging concrete.

Drained tank filled with deep well water was 65 degrees going in tank without injector installed @ 8.5 gpm with burner wide open got 153 degrees

So if u want to get the water temp up to 200 degrees on a 8.5 or bigger a 12 volt setup u will need a SDC burner and a motor that putts out 25 charging amps and for a 115 volt setup a SF burner time to get back to work !!!

Thanks. This info is useful. I think I’m just going to go with it on the pressure pro 8 @ 3500 and hope for the best. I might just have to use more degreaser or do some areas a few times. Gonna make it work, im sure im overthinking this anyway. Thanks a lot!

I had some tire marks I removed a few weeks ago. 160 degrees didn’t touch it, I was over 200 before it started melting it away. They were marks from heavy equipment on a sidewalk from a store front being worked on.

No problem anytime :+1: and tonight when u go to bed think of it as an enclosed trailer can’t get in but from one side unless you open the tailgate and then u have to squeeze through and u like to sleep on the right side were the door is and u have to get up to let ur girlfriend go to the bathroom and get back up when she wants to get back in that’s the best way I can describe working out of an enclosed trailer and it was bigger than yours I had a king size and u got a twin:joy::joy::joy:

It was probably a Firestone them are the worse :grinning::grinning:

Are you measuring the temp by the adjustable knob or with a thermometer? Because apparently the knob is only as accurate as the water temp going in. I just learned this today. You can tell I’m new to this hot box thingamajig

Harold we can call it the burner test instead of the bucket test u do for ur injector

Weather u go with the 12 v or 115v when using the burner make sure u are running the motor full throttle some skids come with the mechanism locked in full throttle we’re u can’t adjust it and when u don’t use the burner to munch say for twenty hours :fire: up the burner and us it some maybe 30 minutes or so on some part of the job if u run a lot of cool water through the coil it will cause condensation and make the insulation and all moist running it some dries it out
