Moderate rebranding/logo refresh. Thoughts?

@Infinity, the squeegee in the logos of my original reply is vector if you want it. I can also just recreate your logo, as is, into a flat design if you’d like to start there.

I think “cleaning services” is the right term to use if you’ve got your finger in windows and pressure washing Or even just pressure washing. Maintenance sounds a little handy manish to me and leaves people guessing what you maintain exactly. The logos are great.

I’m kinda stuck on this concept…

I like it! Although, I agree with the others about using the word “maintenance”. Maintenance is known more for “mechanical” in the commercial or industrial world. I’m a Boilermaker and work in power plants on occasion during “maintenance outages”. That means they shutdown the boiler and all different trades come in to do maintenance on everything. I do a lot of welding on high pressure tubes but there is also work on motors, electrical, steam vessels, etc, etc, etc. You get the picture. I would try and think of a different word to use there. Maybe “cleaning solutions”, “exterior solutions”, “surface restoration”, “substrate restoration”, etc. Those might not be the best examples but you get the idea. I like googling a word and looking at its synonyms. You might even be able to use a synonym of “maintenance” to where it “feels” similar but won’t take away from what you do which is clean.

Might be easier just asking your boss.

That might be a regional thing. Down here, anyone that paints
, washes and swings a hammer has maintenance in their name

I showed it to her; she loves it (including the name). I think this is how our logo’s gonna look for the next 5+ years :slightly_smiling_face:

I personally don’t like the word maintenance because to me maintenance usually means making repairs or, correcting problems. I guess I get that from the Real Estate side of me. If we tell a client that there are some maintenance items to address, it never includes cleaning. It’s always trim hedges, paint mailbox, replace light over garage etc… Cleaning items are separated on the “Cleaning and Maintenance” section of the property prep sheet and include, well, things that need cleaning.

That’s just my .02 - I’m sure you’ll do what you like anyway, as you should.

William had a good point about it being regional. Words have completely different meanings. I guess it’s no different than power washing or pressure washing and depends on the area.

When it comes down to it a name only does so much. As long as your business listing is in the right category on Google, Yahoo, etc your name will pop up for whatever service a person or company is looking for.

I think it’s an awesome change and will serve you two well.

Same here. I just did a google maps search for “maintenance”, and the local results ran the gamut between landscaping, construction, house cleaning, janitorial, property management, etc., etc.

My dad’s company is ‘Awake Maintenance’. He does home and janitorial cleaning. (Might be one factor in my fondness for the word )

Must be regional for sure. A search for maintenance companies in my area yeilded Landscape, HVAC, basement waterproofing, tree cutting, asphalt seal coating, appliance repair, handyman services, and a window tinting company.

I see you had a lot of input on your logo, just came over this one, also great looking

So it’s down to these two, courtesy if @Spraygenix

And since you asked…I don’t like the “maintenance” in the name for reasons others have already mentioned.
But, again, maybe it’s regional.

Whatever you decide, you might need to do a DBA (doing business as) registration if you don’t actually change with the state the name of your company to your new name.

That’s our registered corporate name. We’ve just been continuing to operate under the ∞ cleaning dba.

So you’re an S Corp, with a secondary trade name? Also, you can’t really redact your personal info from a screenshot if you leave the web address at the top :zipper_mouth_face:
