Master Blaster Truck Build

Want to add about my experiences with the different vendors.

Pressure Tek: I placed an order for the bulk of my equipment with the correct address, somehow on their end they changed it. Contacted them during shipping and they contacted UPS to correct it. Order delivered with no issues.

Whisper Wash: ordered two surface cleaners, received an email asking me to call. I was informed they were on back order and would be ready in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I contacted them and was informed they were shipping that day. 4 days later I hadn’t received tracking info. I called back and was informed they couldn’t fill the order and it was a mistake to tell me it shipped. I was then told my order would ship in 7 days. 7 days later I contacted them to be told 14-21 days. I then canceled my order and received a full refund.

Pressure Washer Products: placed an order for several things and ended up not receiving the Kuritec hose. Contacted PWP and was refunded for the hose without issue. After canceling my order for the surface cleaners with WW I then placed it with PWP and received both SC’s with no issues and the correct tips I requested for each.

Powerwash store has been my least favorite. I bought the most expensive item in their inventory (Hydrotek scx30008) And the guy who helped me quit like a week later. Then getting help from others over there has been tedious. I ordered a replacement bar for my surface cleaner and three weeks later it still wasn’t here so I called to ask them what was going on was told that there was some kind of discrepancy with the sales tax amount. I spent $117 and change on it and because of a very small (less than five dollar amount) the item was on hold and nobody bothered to call me and tell me that I had to pay the difference so I went around without a surface cleaner for about a month. I told them that I needed to get a warranty claim for the fuel shut off solenoid because turning the key off no longer turned off the machine. I did ask three times and then finally all he did was send me a picture of the warranty page. Then said well since you didn’t buy it from an authorized dealer where you live there’s nothing we can do for you. I placed an order several times from them for usually several hundred dollars each and always takes 2 to 3 weeks to receive stuff.

Being in California I can’t order from pressuretek.

Dultmeier is awesome as they have incredible support and a large selection. My new go to at this point.

It helps when they’re down the street from WW. Save on incoming shipping and have preference on product. Where I get all of mine.

So sprayer depot sent me the right facing muffler with the GX690. I ordered it in June with a left facing exhaust and didn’t unbox it until August. I contacted Brandon the general manager and he rushed me a left facing muffler for free and is paying the return shipping on the right facing muffler with pickup from my house. That’s customer service done right.

Also anyone using drainzit oil extensions? I installed them first thing.

I need those. I was about to hook up a old brown pump I had to try and suck the oil out.

You can’t beat Sprayer Depot. I’ve been using them for a number of years even before I got into pressure washing. They’ll bend over backwards to make things right.

My Hydromax came with an oil drain extension. I’m kind of surprised they didn’t install one for the pump oil. I’m going to order one for the pump once I do the new machine fluid change and figure out the thread size. You could be really lazy and add a little ball valve to the end. I’ve seen some drain kits that come with them. I’d be afraid it might crack open or some idiot would do it on purpose.

Good idea for the pumps.

Agreed. I had a couple reels come in bent last year and they took care of it asap.

I still can’t get over how good your setup looks. It’s really top-notch. Well done, I’m excited to see it complete!

Thanks man! I’m in the 2 steps backwards phase of the build. Major work on my 2nd personal vehicle had to happen yesterday, incoming hurricane, and now wiring the engines up today.

Did you get you a sludge pump yet. Big dollars to be made with it if hurricane heads your way.

No haven’t ordered it yet. Thanks for the reminder!

I dig how small the footprint is on that 8gpm. Super clean man.

It’s coming. 91° F here and fees like 106°. Finished wiring the engines today. Used a grounding bar, attached a wire to the frame and all the grounds to it. 6 gauge wire. Will mount brackets to manage the wires next.

Sweet setup, I would recommend next time don’t crimp copper terminals, put it in a vice heat it up with propane torch to melt solder then dunk your wire in their and don’t forget to shrink wrap it. Good luck, I just started this year and even with covid, people still spending money, just wish I was more on point with social media and networking still doing 1 to 4 grand a week. Thanks to this forum, learning curve was a lot easier and less expensive. God bless AMERICA !

Thanks! Pre-made cables on the way. Agree about crimping.

Finished mounting the batteries today and had to add some stuff to the surface cleaner mount I had custom made. Next time I’ll have it built this way, but doing it all from Hawaii with measurements I got from the Internet I’m pleased it works. Mounting the second rack tomorrow. Feels like 108° here with a heat index of 116° and 88% humidity. Currently in the pool drinking water
