Finally purchased a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD Double Cab for the build. Had the bed liner sprayed, Air Lift 7500XL 29580EZ Gen 2 controller installed, and now have it ready for a vinyl half wrap. I got the initial design back and I’m not a fan of the slanted text on the back. Editing and updating the post during the build (I think the wrap turned out great).
Personally, I don’t like the wrap one bit. The logo looks great. The slanted text is a huge no. Why make it heard to read? Sorta defeats the whole purpose.
I’m with the boys on this one, logo looks a tad rear end heavy. It looks uniform on the drawing but it will be really hard to see once it’s actually on the truck, too many latches and gaps on the side of the deck to make it look neat. Even the rear where your tail lights are looks too busy for the text. Your actual logo looks great on the white.
I’m pretty much with everyone else. I want to like the back, but I can’t. I’m sure it will be really difficult to actually read on a moving billboard. Idk what the solution is, but I don’t think that rendition is it.
I explained the water droplets were fine but the diagonal text was too hard to read and poor use of advertising real estate. The graphics can end at the service bed. Redesign the back end wording and information.
Change the phone number from red to blue.
Enlarge the website across the bottom of the doors.
I appreciate everyone’s feedback and want anyone considering this or any work to communicate with the company to ensure you get what you want.
Tell them to highlight your branding more… The logo size they did on the door will look small. I went through the same process. Your logo looks great btw!
I love the logo but I think the back is too busy and doesn’t tie into the truck well. Here’s an example of a diagonal design that incorporates the whole truck.
Having been in the sign business for the last 17 years I can offer that blue is harder to read than red. Keep the graphics for the services as easy to read as possible. Phone number and website best info to make the biggest, even over the name of the business. People will have a clue what you do and driving across the other side of the street they just need to see how to contact you about service. Stoked for your new truck though that’s going to be nice.
