Master Blaster Truck Build

I look for dirty buildings, most stores will pass on rust removal I think but I’ve had good success with ones with dirty roofs or buildings. Obviously know your clientele, the ghetto gas station downtown isn’t going to be interested in getting anything clean, and the big box stores all have regional companies that clean the every one of their stores within a 200 mile radius

Getting some practice in. Touching up the front tomorrow when I do the house across the street. I saw a little spot that looked like I could get it cleaner.

Your truck is amazing

Thanks man I appreciate that. It wouldn’t have been possible at all without this forum and all the people who have contributed knowledge to it.

My curiosity got the better of me and I’m building a remote system. Went with a mechanical valve over a solenoid. Should arrive this week and I’ll let everyone know how I like it. I used @Steve’s parts list from another thread. No battery meter as I have one near the battery.

So far mine works great. I added a vent to the box to relieve some of the heat. It probably wasn’t necessary since I usually only have the soap valve open for 5 or 10 min at a time but can’t hurt with a solenoid valve.

When that one craps out you really have to get a Schertzbox. They’re worth every penny.

I had them on my list but they were back ordered. I figure for $120 I’ll see how long it lasts.

I also have a second backup valve tested, plumbed and ready to go with electric quick connects. Personally, I like the idea of being able to change out the valve on the fly. If I had a more expensive version of the controller, I’m guessing that it would be down while I send the valve in for warranty, that is, if it’s still under warranty. If it’s not, I guess I’d be waiting on a $200 replacement valve for my plastic box.

I’m not saying it won’t work. It just won’t work as long or from as far away.

I’m curious about the range. I have a lot of large brick homes here. I’ll test with mine because I have signal blocking tech foil crap under my shingles.

My area has a ton of massive homes that are built on a mountainside. It makes for a workout without a box. The Schertzbox is phenomenal

Shot a side by side video today comparing my AODD system to a 5.5GPM Northstar 12V. I have some editing to do before I post it but I was pretty stunned by the comparison and so was my buddy. It was pretty gusty out today too. Fully charged 12V for the test too.

AODD 10GPM distance 42ft stream
Spray pattern 30ft
Using M5DS 7-12GPM

12V 5.5GPM 31ft stream
Spray pattern 23ft
Using Jrod 5GPM

@TexasPressureWashing I’ve always wondered how the 2 would compare side by side.
I’ve wondered if it was worth it though,
AODD pump $200- $600 depending on how crazy you go.
North star 12v pump $65-$150
AODD needs a compressor to run.
12v needs a battery.
After that the rest of the components are the same, so if you buy a top of the line AODD pump itll cost you $450 more than a 12v to shoot 10 extra feet…
I like the 10gpm part, ill be curious to see how how it holds up.
Thats one nice looking rig you’ve got there! Congrats on a sweet build!!

Flow was better too. But that’s 10GPM vs 5.5GPM. Right off the bat we both agreed I’d complete a roof faster by far. That alone adds up over time. I’m also using about 20-25 gallons of SH for a 3000 sq ft roof (not including pitch). He uses more SH than that. We both use the same proportioner and valves.

My compressor was $599
Pump $249
Tsunami water separator $149
Air Hoses $20
Connections $20
Steel plate $15
Hardware $20

But I can run all day with gas. No low battery on a big job. No burning up my pump when I’m not on the trigger (not saying that happens often), no blowing fuses. Idk after seeing them side by side I’m glad I went AODD.

In the end people have to do what their budget supports and what they like using. But my buddy was like “I’m building one of those”

This is probably the most impressive first time build on this forum. Nice job man
