Sheesh, Did you have the shop put a stop under the accelerator pedal of that fancy Vette of yours so that you couldn’t step on it harder?
work me vs home me are wildly different animals. But I deserved that burn.
Sorry, didn’t mean to revert your edit. Feel free to delete again. But I think it was a helpful post.
That tape you put on there isn’t going to work for you long term, study any OEM heat shield and you will find they all have an air gap between what your trying to not get hot or melt. Look at your gx690 or gx390 mufflers for examples or the exhaust system heat shields on your truck you will see a pattern. That sticker material will essentially become a heat sink when it’s soaked with heat, the opposite of what you want. Many enclosed trailer builds have had the same issues.
I see what you’re saying. Appreciate you pointing that out. Understanding vs application is a real thing haha. Thank you!
I like how it’s tall enough to stand up the quick connect
They stack too with interlocking connections.
Is that a 12 gallon gas tank?
We upped it to 35 gal with 2 of us running full-time.
Yes it is. I have the stock 5 gallon on the Gx390 still.
Huh how are you gonna fit a yellow noodle in that box maybe a rifle bag?
Dude I have that exact same briefcase in my truck that i hold all my loose crap in for the moment lol. I’ll snap a pic tomorrow. I took out the dividers, those pen holders, and just use the empty case. The rattling of the hardware is annoying when driving though lol. It’s in my backseat
Yellow noodle?
this truck is just badass. i hope one day i’ll have the know-how and balls to build something similar. this is exactly the type of truck that catches tons of attention on the road. really it’s perfect in my opinion.
Thanks @mikesPWclean! I have met people who have said they’ve seen me around already. I’ve barely driven anywhere so that’s cool to hear. I took it to Autozone once and the entire store emptied out to check it out lol. Store manager too. That’s always fun.
Also you’ll get there! When you do hit me up and I’ll help however I can with advice and things I learned about the build.
