Looking for a new truck

I’m thinking of permanently mounting my code reader to the dash so I can reset the “service engine” light every time it comes on.

I’ve got a code reader. Remind me next time you’re here and we’ll check it.

I just bought this last night. 07 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 4.3 v6, has a rebuilt title…but with 120k on the odometer and paying $4500 it was well worth it. Moral of the story, don’t hesitate on a rebuilt title…ask around some mechanics so you know what to look for and what to ask  feel free to ask me as well.

No such animal as a 5.3 V6. It could be a 5.3 V8, or a
4.3 V6.

Last year of the GMT 800. Good trucks. We had a 4.3 do 300k with nothing internal but a single broken valve spring we fixed before selling the truck. Guys still driving it. I have an 04 and don’t plan to get rid of it anytime soon.

Darn the trucks sold.

Anyone here running a 4.6 or 4.7 v8 pulling a trailer?

My 2.4 pulls just fine.

Ditto. I even pulled with a 1.5 for a couple years :joy:

@Grizz I have a 2003 tundra. It has the 4.7. Pulls my trailer great. I’ve also pulled way heavier loads with it. 20’+ enclosed trailer with 3 commercial mowers and all other mowing equipment. Tundra is an awesome truck if you can find one. I’m sure @squidskc will back me up.
