Logo A or B?

Hah, maybe. Sometimes I like to oversimplify for the sake of comic relief. But the issue of needing different signs for slightly different services did cross my mind.

I tend to overthink a lot, tbh. I’m sure the habit has cost me more than it’s paid off, over my lifetime. But every once in awhile, the added thought results in a happy discovery like how to boost ROI on yardsigns :man_shrugging:

I personally don’t find any sense in this. If people want your service it’s much easier to get the number directly from the sign. If you don’t have any actual proof that your sales went up from the yard signs, It’s likely they went up from people just looking up your services on Google or some other form of marketing.

I based my estimates off the number of people who said they saw my sign(s). I might not have tracked the actual numbers, but I have a pretty good idea when around twice as many people tell me they’re calling after seeing a sign.

Here’s something a little more concrete, that I totally forgot about:

Google My Business let’s you track search data. They will breakdown how many of your search impressions were due to Direct searches (someone googles your business name) vs. Discovery searches (someone googles power washing and your listing shows up in the results)

When I first started posting the updated signs sans phone number, I saw a sharp increase in Direct searches. I failed to take a screenshot of that, and I’m not sure how to access that data from last year. But it definitely happened, and as I wasn’t doing any direct mail or other forms of advertising that would warrant people searching our business name, I think it’s safe to attribute that additional search traffic to the signs.
