No such thing as too much. As long as you have time for your family and yourself, loving your job is one of the best things you could ask for. I really enjoy pressure washing and really hope I become steady enough to make a great living off of it for my family. It’s easy to stay motivated when it’s something you enjoy.

I figured out long ago that this is Facebook to a lot of guys. They get on here and bash Facebook then use it as such.
I only come here for info and there is a lot of it here…
But most people’s attitudes here suck so I rarely post.

Can’t take stuff so literally. I know that @Innocentbystander has a lot of love for the guys doing this solo or as a husband and wife team by choice.
Most people here have facebook profiles, and use it for keeping in touch with friends. What people here bash, are the facebook power washing groups. That’s because the level of discourse in many of those groups falls somewhere between Youtube commenters and 4chan
Have you ever noticed this phenomenon: most people who say, “I hate all the drama”, are the ones who tend to have drama ‘follow them around’, so to speak? I.e., they tend to generate or perpetuate the thing they claim to hate so much, often by drawing undue attention to something they percieve to fall in that category.
Same principle for people who constantly decry their distain for “bad attitudes”.
If you don’t feel like you belong here, I can’t blame you. But it’s got nothing to do with whether or not you have crews working for you.

I once had a neighbor with one fake eye.
IBS reminds me of some of the chefs i used to work for. Not too concerned about coddling people. He will tell you what you need to know, not what you want to hear. But he would also give you the shirt off his back if you really needed it. I think a lot of people misjudge our resident grump.

I hope @Innocentbystander never changes either. If you look at his “walk away” quotes on different posts it’s usually the right thing to do.
By the way I ran with the $150 business model this spring. Actually I used $179 as my flat rate price for 2500sf and under vinyl box on a slab in HOA neighborhoods. I have many vinyl neighborhoods right near me. I used a referral Next Door post as my advertising along with yard signs in every yard I washed the house and at end of neighborhood stop signs. I did pretty well with it. I stayed booked out 4 weeks from February with 5-6 houses a day 5 days a week. Just now slowed down to booked out 1 week down to 3 a day because of heat. Very easy houses. Wiped every window sill. Pump sprayed a few garage door rubber trim if needed. Washed a few back patios at no cost. Full house walk around wiping up weepers and misting each side with many weepers. 45 minutes pull up to drive away unless they talked my ear off. 5.6gpm. 5 arounds included. Went through 650 gallons SH just house washing. It’s a business model that works well but not for everyone.

Wow that is strange.
What I meant by that quote is I believe people think he is a jerk or something. Quite the opposite. He tells you what you need to hear because he knows thats what helps. Coddling only hurts people. Look at most of the young generation coming up. And yes, I hope he never changes. I always look forward to reading his posts. Any man that offers to ship cheerwine to the less fortunate is great in my book! Lol I still have to try that dukes mayo though.

Me and the wife were talking the other night about something fairly personal that neither of us had googled or searched online at all. Next day, an ad popped up on her Facebook feed for that very thing. Think they don’t listen in while the phone’s laying by the bed, think again.
