Local guy has it figured

Hopefully that’s only included with a $3k+ paint job. I doubt it though.

I’m guessing it’s the same guy, but separate websites for separate service areas/branches

I gotta think he’s making money somewhere. He’s probably treating the housewashing as a loss-leader, making it up with add-ons and other services

He also probably works on high volume, like PowerWash King or whatever his name is that has a similar deal. Huge company working on high volume, narrow margins, and lots of upselling

I’m assuming. He actually took the trouble to get a plate of metal fabricated so he can surface clean and mark the driveway in his logo. Might just be one of those get you in the door things

Lol anyone want to just call the guy and find out what his deal is?

Mmmm, it’s not that it bothers me. It’s that it hurts the industry. :+1:

Yup. One of the key habits of successful businessmen. Had to get over it, or myself rather, cause there are tons of low ballers like the $65 guy in my area. Heck, the guy with the F250 doing $65 house washes actually is in my county lol. I like the clients who realize and don’t mind paying for quality work anyways. Over 1 million people live in my county alone, so there’s plenty of work to go around, and several demographics they pick up that I don’t care to.

@Infinity so basically he has one he charges $65 and one $75 and claims one as a loss or painting as a loss?

Don’t think low ball price means low quality. I’ve said before here that the $99 guy that washes my house does an excellent job. If I just did houses I could make a killing washing any size house for $150.

But your quality of work is low…so the price fits. You dont do brick, hardi, gutter brightening, wood, etc. If im not mistaken you soap vynal from top down( it just doesn’t clean as good) and i doubt you would spend time washing behind shutters and the piece on the corners of vynal houses that collect debris for some reason. Probably also would not rinse of outside furniture, door mats, trash cans, ac units, take out a rag to wipe off a window seal that didnt come that clean, hit a garage door seal with a pump up sprayer because HW mix did not make it as clean as it should be, etc.

It typically does mean shoddy work in my neck of the woods. Same with most of the “handymen” around here. Think green Home Depot special pressure washers, no common sense, and wand marks EVERYWHERE. No insurance either. Oh, and a bad meth addiction. Also, with most houses being in the 3k-6k sq’ range around here, I’d lose money with a $150 flat rate. Now the county east of me, $150, with several neighbors lined up, wouldn’t be a bad gig at all. Several 2,500 sq’ and under on slab houses. Just hard to get those folks to part with even $150. Land is also cheaper per acre by $45-50k, but that’s slowly going up now too.

Uh oh…shots fired lol

No no no lol. Not taking any shots. He makes it clear in his bids what he will do and $150 is a good price for it. He could make a killing. If home owners wantes that type of work.

Hopefully he is trying to joke, if not that was some pretty arrogant, ignorant comments to make by someone that doesn’t have a lot of time in this industry lol

No joke you’ve made it clear in many posts what you will and wont do. That is why you do apartments. You people skill suck and you will walk away from 80% of residential jobs because you dont like something. Dont need to be in a industry long to read posts and then make a conclusion.

If i walked outside to see what your guys we’re doing on my most expensive purchase (my house) and yall just packed up and left. Id let everyone know what happened lol same with the way you block numbers because they texted, cancelled the job because i made a joke about my dog have you as a snack, the countless other reasons you would pack up and leave a job unfinished.

Customer service plays a huge part in residential.

I will stick with you being ignorant and arrogant then. Turning down work with small profit margins or headaches has nothing to do with quality of work. You stated a lot of lies in your post. I can tolerate a lot and realize that a lot of the new guys here simply don’t know any better. But lying is a character flaw that defines a man. I thought you were a straight up fellow and I think we have talked on the phone, but I appear to have been mistaken.
