King's Reels - Anyone got these?

I’m shopping for new reels and these King’s Reels look really attractive. Stainless steel manifold, aluminum frames, PVC between the discs, stainless swivels, and pretty damn cheap at less than $500 a piece for the 18" manual versions. Problem is, I’ve never seen one in person or heard anyone on here comment on them. So, does anyone run these reels? Feedback? I know King’s makes good sprayers and designed these reels after their supply chain became unreliable.

Buy one of Bob’s. It has everything you just mentioned, plus some of my own ideas he added in. AND, if you don’t like it I’ll buy it from you for full price. I you gotta know I don’t pay full price for much

everything but 12V…You’re getting too old for all that cranking…

That’s very generous of you but I’m wanting all matching reels and with a second machine and a helper I need ones that will hold a few hundred feet of supply hose and at least 200’ of 5/8" flexzilla for the 12v. I’m guessing maybe 175’ on Bob’s reel and that’s what I’ve been running but it’s just not enough on some of these jobs. Haven’t found a good way to connect 12v hoses that won’t leak in the grass or get snagged. Not convinced there’s a connection out there that will do that anyhow.

I’m a spry thirty years old and how else am I going to keep these boulder shoulders?

I was talking to the guy who said…

It will hold 250ft of pressure hose, same as the hannays. It’s narrow, but taller is that makes sense.

I don’t run anything through the reels but for what it’s worth, my Hannays have 250’ pressure hose in 50’ sections & 200’ of 3/4 inch Flexzilla in 50’ sections. The stacker kit is fabulous!

I installed 3 kings reels on my trailer. I think they are awesome but ive never used anything else and ive only used them a couple days. I trust my supplier and he assured me that they are very good

Most generous feller around here! Always have been.

If you like those stackers you’ll love the ones my Landa guy made up last year. You can take the bottom reel off without having to take the top one off.

Sounds awesome! Hopefully I’ll get a real trailer one of these days after this disposable Carrion trailer craps out (luckily I have a second one as a back up). I should really just buy a welder & build one from scratch.

What size do you want

My season starts back February 27th and I have about 4 more trailers to finish before then. I was over ambitious this winter lol

Awesome work dude! Inspiring for sure. I’ll probably just stay with 4x7 throw away trailers for a while. I love this tiny rig. It fits in a parking space & with low range 4x4, it will go anywhere. The tailgate / ramp is perfect for a 24x36 billboard.

That does make sense. I’ve got a GP that looks similar in size. I’m not sold on any one reel yet. May go with the King’s just to try something different from the meta.

Come pick up one

Might have to consider that once we get the revenue trucks running again…at least I’ll know it’s not under-built again! Do you run them with the wood bottom? We were thinking an aluminum plate, but at this point coating wood might just be plenty to do the trick…

That’s scary! Glad to see it made it back in one piece, however slightly.
