Kevlar hose, opinions?

You try rinsing it off first? A light amount of pressure will wash them away I’m sure.

I should have, next time I will, also a massive rainstorm came in before I reeled everything in, and I cowered in my air-conditioned truck

Comes with a one year warranty according to their catalog and website.

Apparently the company is based in India, FWIW.

I’ve never used it, I think you’re referring to someone else.

Okay, so I am a year in now, and I love this hose. Still working fine, nice and Flexible and light.

If I can just find a reliable supplier I would buy again.

I know it’s been almost a year, but did they ever get back to you about buying it in longer lengths?

I was reading a thread about their hose on another forum and someone commented that his is still holding up well 3 years later. I don’t see it listed on their website, however.

Nope, but when this popped up today I sent another email. Nothing yet

We might need to go to the source. This looks like it might be the stuff:

10mm size should be the same as 3/8”.

I think Dez @dperez has some experience with sourcing hoses straight from china. I wonder if he could dig up a source for a similar kevlar product?

I don’t think that is the same hose, that is only rated to 131F the other is good to 212.

That’s no small feat. I’ll see what I find next week but I think that hose is a pipe dream. Those are some pretty serious claims for what appears to be R17 hose. I smell snake oil

So my wire braided section of hose is almost ready for replacement, I can see the wear through. The kevlar hose is still working amazing, aside from the lettering being worn off, it’s as good as new. Finding a supplier is proving really hard though. I would completely switch to this hose if I could find someone who carries it regularly.

Uh oh, I don’t think they make it any more. I can’t even find it on their website. :sleepy:

I almost just bought some. But read the entire post and the cons cancel the pros for me:

  1. It is NOT non-marking
  2. It can’t be used with out rats nesting unless you pull it all out.
  3. Fittings may not be the strongest.

If it didn’t have the cons I’d buy it in a heartbeat!

I actually only found it left marks the first time I used it. Never left marks after.
